Nil stars would be too many. Simply not getting the speed I'm paying for, supposed to get minimum 31mbps, lucky if I get 15. Said the uprated router might help, but charged for the privilege, changed plans without authorisation with added cost. Customer services eventually stopped advising, saying there was no problem. Home phone is very tempermental, will not accept calls from EE mobile numbers.

have recently changed telephone and broad band from utilty warehouse to another company.when i phoned to pay what i thought was my last bill i was told that i had to give 30 days notice from the date the new provider told them.i have never had this happen befor other times when i have changed when one takes over from the other that is it and i have only had to pay to the change over date.so i am not happy about this and they could not tell me on the phone what my final payment will be i don't see why not as i am now with my new provider

    LOVE THEM!!!
I have a 3 storey stone house. And use their middle rooter out of 3 possible. Works perfect. If you have signed up through website and picked small free rooter(meant for 1-2 bed flat) to just cut cost - your own fault. That's why they have distributors to get you the services and deals best suited for you. And look after you in long run. I have all my services with UW. I love the fact I get everything on one bill and no other provider reduces my bills when I do my usual shopping. My broadband and landline usually works out free when I spend with cashback card.

Terrible company, I initially had my gas and electric with UW and decided to take up broadband and home phone thinking I’d be saving money! After being a customer for a few months I was offered a switch comparison, lo and behold I’ve been paying an extortionate amount! For a single mother of two I feel like I’ve been well and truly ripped off! In total I was paying around £130 pm for gas, electric, home phone and broadband! My new provider for gas and electric are charging me £58 pm for both and my broadband is now £18 pm! Do not sign up with UW it’s a rip off!!

Sadly I am two months into Utility Warehouse broadband subscription and feeling imprisoned in a network that barely works.Stuck for the next one year with a very unreliable internet.Misled by the reps who told me I wouldn’t pay a cancellation charge if I only give a months notice.Which was totally false when they were trying to sell their package.I run an online Masters program and can’t get through a lecture without protracted interruption, neither can I take my online exams without much worry the connection would break.
Can’t cancel because of the huge cost of cancellation. They get their money monthly and we get extremely poor service.
    This is cheating.

Please avoid this provider at all cost!!!

If I could give it 0 I would . Appalling broadband . Worse I've encountered. We can't even get on normal channels through sky . So we are having to use our firestick to watch some telly . But even all the channels on there are not working . Got fed up of reporting it and they say its fine . Can't wait for contract to end .

Terrible. Hardly any broadband. Constantly drops out. Just received new router and hardly made a difference. Locked into a contract and the monthly charges for telephone ridiculous. Think it will be cheaper to leave and pay stupid amount of money for leaving provider! Not impressive at all!

Worst broadband provider I have ever been with. Constant lag when streaming, picture quality poor when streaming unreliable source of service to depend on especially if you rely on internet. EVEN WORSE FOR GAMING. When I was with sky a a 2.33 GB download would take between 5-10 minutes sometimes less than that. I'm now looking at a 2-3 hour time period for that same download. With an average download speed of 4.096 KB per second although that is constantly altering. If i wanted to do and update for anything above 20 GB I'm looking at a 2-3 day wait which is completely unacceptable. I left for a cheaper deal and thought that they might be some differences in downloading speed but didn't think it would be this bad. Also the deal hasn't turned out to be cheaper at all if anything I'm paying more for a worse service. When speaking to the customer service team they blamed it on the area that I lived in. DON'T BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS, if you are thinking it's to good to be true you are 1000% right. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE, don't let it be yours.

Absolutely the worst internet I have ever used.

Drops out constantly and is slow, at times it feels like I’m on dial up. It has dropped at least 25 times over the Christmas break.

When you call, they don’t seem to read your history until they have asked you all the same questions as every other time I have called, I understand that for people that don’t call that often but really - you should know what phone socket I have - I have told you at least 10 times!!

I would highly advise not going with them and looking at other providers. I am currently in the process of moving all my utilities away from them.

Service at the beginning and change over went fine but then the cracks appear.............. Started having issues with broadband and after 2 visits from an engineer they still couldnt fix it so we we considered going onto fibre broadband if it could be agreed that the switchover charge could be removed as they could fix our normal broadband which was more than adequete for our needs/use. Along with this we had a few queries on a bill which we had been overcharged, the staff member we dealt with was extremely rude and unhelpful.

When signed up we were not told you get charged for the cashback card each month nor that there was a charge when you topped up or that there was a minimum amount that you were able to put on.
Along with this we were not aware that although they say no contract or exits fees well there are! £30 for broadband and £25 for each electricity and gas. So watch out.

After cancelling with this company as we agreed to pay all the exit fees to get out, we had received and paid our final bill or what we thought was our final bill. Then they kept coming even being told by numerous staff members that the account was closed and clear so cancel your direct debit. Low and be hold we were getting bills and messages saying your account was overdue etc. So they ended listening to the previous call to confirm we had been told this. Low and behold yes that's fine all paid and clear and closed. 2 weeks later yes you can guess we got another bill. And so it goes on.....

The logic behind the whole 1 bill thing is great and they were a little cheaper but they're useless when there are issues.

Terrible internet from the beginning, even though we were meant to be in a high-connection area. Received a £700+ bill after leaving because they couldn't accurately estimate consumption. That bill covered 18 months of inaccurate billing. To understand the scale of miscalculation, the average electricity bill in the UK is around £600 per annum for a big house (lived in a flat). Customer service lines always understaffed. Avoid like plague.

    This may take a while.
I live in a rural area, where broadband stability and speed has, until this year, been a significant issue. Nothing more than the lowest speed service available at the same cost as other areas are paying for significantly better.
I was a customer of BT for 2 years and had significant issues with the broadband service. Eventually, they advised me to ditch the telephone handset as that appeared to affect the braodband service further and, like many households today, it wasn't being used. (We live in an old cottage with thick walls.....pretty much opposite an Openreach green box).
So, having ditched the handset, nothing improved. I switched to UW to pay less for the same broadband service. And didn't replace the handset. It's definitely not the same. In fact, I am now 12 days without any Broadband connection at all. There is a recognised fault in the area, which Openreach were scheduled to fix on February. They needed to apply to close the road; I watched two Openreach vans turn up as expected and leave within an hour; no traffic lights erected for traffic management and no road dug up.
I run a small on-line business; my children require the internet to carry out homework; I have used my data allowance on my mobile wifi unit and mobile phone; I have amassed a significant bill in accessing further data.
I understand the 80/20 rules in making business decisions. And falling into that "20" is stressful. My customers expect timely responses and orders fulfilling.
Being in the "20", no one wants to take any responsibility.
Clearly there are patches of good in UW. I don't rate them at all; the rules of them paying for me to come out of my BT contract changed after I signed up to the service, so there are now actions reliant on me to carry out to get the £80. These actions were not clear or explained when I agreed to switch.
    My advice is:
Do your research before switching any service provider. And more over, if your broadband relies on Openreach, which it will unless you are a Virgin Media customer, understand the service level agreements in place in case you have a total outage.
HMRC are demanding that VAT returns are all executed digitally from April.....sadly by then, the excessive charges that I have incurred will mean that not only will I probably be bankrupt, but I'll be facing extra fines because I can't submit my VAT return.
We should all learn a lesson from BREXIT......ask questions and understand the facts. Don't be seduced by cheap because you get what you pay for. And be aware that no service for anything, from anybody, is consistent. It's impossible. Look for what's good in your area. The reviews here are massively mixed. My experience isn't great and I am more than stressed about it. Life in the 21st Century relies on broadband for the majority of the population. UW are no better placed to provide a broadband service than any other Openreach based service provider. But equally they don't have the empathy skills or alternatives to deal with customer issues.
I'm borrowing a wifi unit today. Who know what tomorrow will bring.
Benefit city here I come. It doesn't pay to be responsible for your self anymore.

I called to make initial enquiries and these lot signed me up to a full package even though:
    - I gave no authority to set up an account
    - I hadn’t moved into the property.
    - I gave no bank details,

Trying to speak to anyone to remove me from their system meant being passed from person to person, took over an hour, and I am not convinced that this is the end of the matter.

    DO NOT TRUST! RIP OFF!!!
Pis poor service and they will rip you off. We were left with 5 weeks in total without internet access (without notice). This happened TWICE! All our bills were paid on time so why did this happen?? Incompetence!! We spent hours on the phone trying to get things resolved. No one was able to bring light to the matter on when we would be back online. The whole family was affected. They sent us a free dongle supposedly to compensate...BUT they started charging us for it without our knowledge!! No compensation for loss of service nevermind for the LOSS of earnings and hours spent trying to get to the bottom of the issue. No one knew their bottom to their elbow. Don't have everything under one roof, seriously they will drop you in the poo and treat you like dirt on their shoe. It isn't cheaper either, they do not save you money...they waste your time and money.
