A near miss. I can't comment on speed or reliability as I cancelled just before installation. Customer service was appalling. I signed up at an agreed rate but received a letter two days before switching with the wrong charge. I wasted an hour with customer services explaining this and all they could offer was a call back in 3-5 days to tell me if I would get the agreed deal. I wasn't prepared to risk this as it was after connection so would be much more difficult to cancel. I was then told the cancellation team wouldn't take my call! I tried directly and they refused to allow me to cancel. Furious I called my current provider and they have blocked the switch. I honestly feel like they were conning me and the hassle of getting through to speak to someone - who then say they can't deal with the issue gave me no confidence in the company. If you are tempted by their offer make sure you get it in writing before going ahead.

I cannot comment on their speed I'm afraid as you'll soon find out why.
Fibre has recently been activated in my area and in February I found Vodafone had the best fibre deal around. I went through all of the application process and was told my activation date would be March 1st.
On March 1st Vodafone successfully shut down my old Internet provider however did not activate their connection. I contacted them (Online Chat via my phone as you cannot get through on their phone number) and was told everything was OK and that it could take until midnight to activate.
March 2nd, still no Internet. Now they say it is a port problem at the exchange and they said an engineer could not get to the exchange due to the weather (Beast from the East) even though they had three weeks in which to prepare the "port". Now I'm told they will contact BT Openreach as it is down to them to carry out the work... "contact us tomorrow for an update"
March 3rd, I get a text message saying the Internet will be activated in 2 working days.
March 5th, still no Internet. I'm told (online again) to wait until midnight yada yada.
March 6th, still no Internet. I'm told (online again) that an engineer is being scheduled and that I'm on the critical list. It'll be fixed in 2 days (yet again)
March 9th, still no Internet. I'm told (shockingly online again) that my activation date is now March 23rd but I'll not be charged any fees until i'm fully online... how gracious says I. What about the work to be done on the 5th and 9th, says I? It's all BT Openreach's fault.
March 9th, cancelled my contract within the 14 day grace period as I don't trust a word they say.
Good luck to you if you try to join Vodafone!

Equipment provided by Vodafone is an absolute joke. It took me 4+ hours to bypass their router to get normal internet speed over the wifi and cable. Whole process was painful so I won't ever again choose Vodafone in the future.

Unfortunately you cannot leave a zero score, DO NOT be taken in by their lies, never had more than 1mb download speed, customer service is an absolute joke, cancelled after 2 weeks of no broadband, off back to BT, should never have left them, yes they are expensive but at least they are reliable!!!

I was talked into moving myself and my partners home broadband to videophone. TERRIBLE MISTAKE DO NOT MOVE. I have spent 45 hours onto customer services to try to get connected since the 2nd of February - now over a month later we do not have a working broadband. I have spoken to them both online and in person repeatedly, they promise you they will fix but really they only want to stop the conversation so they can leave you again. I have been promised engineers - who never showed up. Been send 3 routers - still no broadband. Been through numerous tests - intact very time you phone or speak to them they make you repeat the tests that have not worked before. So today 9th March I tried to cancel - typically I was unable. I tried costumer complaint service (they only had it for mobile phones) they said they would try but when I called them back they had blocked my number so agin still no luck. If only I had read these reviews before being talked into changing. TAKE MY WARNING DO NOT USE VODAPHONE HORRENDOUS

I was called by Vodafone and they convinced me to move two mobiles, broadband and IPad services to them. WORST MISTAKE EVER!! I have spent the last year taking them to the Ombudsman for every account that they have no interest in resolving unless they are instructed to! There customer service team are unfriendly, unhelpful and rude! Don't move your account to them unless you have the time to constantly call and have the extra time to use the Ombudsman. Even now they have admitted fault and provided refunds etc I am STILL the owner of a brand new 7 plus that does not work... called again today and they refused to believe I got the phone from them! I had the Ombudsman prove they provided it.. its a joke... Cannot wait until I can get out of the contracts and go back to my previous provider who NEVER caused any problems! Virgin Media come back! All is forgiven!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had internet problems for around 20 days. Receiving less then 1mg to no internet. I wish this was the first time it has happed however it is not.
I phoned up 16 days ago saying I have had less then 1mg and it wasn't usable. They said I should upgrade and I would get a promised speed of 38mg, so I did.
They said this would take 12 days. However in this time I went from less then 1mg to no internet what so ever. I contacted them by live chat on day 14 to say I had no internet.
They said it would be fixed in 48 hours.
It wasn't, still no internet.
So I phoned up today, I've spent all day trying to resolve this. I spoke to a guy called Aslam, who kept promising to call be back. First he said he would call be back in 30min, he finally got back to me after one hour. Only to tell me the internet was faulty in my area and he could give my a promised speed of 10mg. Suppose that's better then nothing...
Then he said he would get back to be in 10min. I waited for over an hour to get no call back.
So I contacted Vodafone and spoke to a girl called Hannah. She states that an issue has never been raised. She states she has now done this and has given me some data so I can use my phone to provide internet. However it will take a further 2 days for it to be raised with tech.
I feel like I've wasted the best part of a month and used my days off only to be fobbed off by Vodafone with their empty promises.
If you want to join a company that will make constant promises they can't keep. Or if you want to spend most of your time trying to resolve issues with people who don't care. Then Vodafone is the one for you.

I have given Vodafone 1 star in each category as there was no option for 0 stars. Signed up with a guarantee of 50mb download on their 74mb package. On running regular speed tests i was getting less than 20. Complained and got no help. Broadband lost connection once every few days, the time that drew the last straw was a 24 hour loss of service where, after over an hour on the phone with an advisory, was told nobody could help me for another 48 hours. Cancelled within the first 30 days, told that they were still going to charge me, despite them not actually offering me what I paid for. Customer service and their online chat are useless, not to mention inaccurate - with an 11pm helpline that doesn't take calls after 9pm!

Didn't get as far as being a customer but want to review them based on my brief interaction with them today.
Went on to 'chat' to ask if Vodafone would increase the contract yearly by RPI as they do with their mobile contracts.
Was told 'yes' which is bad enough but agent then told me this was what they were told to do by OFCOM. Well if that's the level of support now then I wouldn't want to see what is was like as a customer. I decided not to transfer to them.

once upon a time i had a really happy life til a frightening nightmare called VODAFONE broadband came to my life. trust me with this and believe me I AM NOT JOCKING, still i have nightmares about their horrible service. i am now relieved a released from this horrid company as i paid the termination fee and ended my sorrows. THIS IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO JOIN THIS SHAMBOLIC COMPANY. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR CHEAP PRICES AND SPECIALLY BY 5 STAR COMMENTS AND REVIEWS YOU SEE HERE. i suspect most of the 5 star reviews are from VODAFONE itself. i confess that i was fooled by these 5 star reviews and ignored the critical comments about vodafone broadband service. if you really care about your internet status and SPECIALLY YOUR INTERNET SPEED, DO NOT EVEN THINK YOU CAN GET IT FROM VODAFONE. if your work online, stream online, need fast download or even chat online, trust me signing up with VODAFONE will be your worst nightmare. if you have kids who watch on amazon, netflix or any other online streaming websites, DO NOT GO WITH VODAFONE. you will get most of the times as low as 3 mg download speed. it does not make any difference what package you have. i was on 76 mg package and i was still getting 3 mg speed. final words, a big 0 star all around to VODAFONE broadband service from customer service to INTERNET SPEED.it is the biggest scam i have seen as they charge you for something they would never give.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM VPDAFONE BROADBAND

I cancelled my internet contract with them within the 14 days cooling off period. They agreed it had been cancelled.
They then sent two broadband routers and then took £70 each from my bank account (140 in total). They agreed this was a mistake and asked me to send the routers back and only then would they return the money.
I dropped them off in a store got them to sign for it and make a note. The shop then refused to refund me.
It then took 3 month of me calling every week in which I was promised a bacs payment then they failed to make the bacs payment so I would ring in and explain and they would try again. Each conversation ranged from 30 min to an hour.
Then they paid me my money back and refused compensation. I was informed that they can't pay compensation as I'm no longer a customer and they would be taxed on it.

After the 30 days period when user can suspend the 18 months account, the broadband speed dropped drastically (somehow it was ok before, what are the chances?
The customer services wanted me to provide evidence (at least 7 screenshots in a 24 hrs period) of this. I argued they should be able to measure this as I don't have the time/availability to monitor this. They didn't care. I am switching my 2 mobile accounts to another provider, and also the broadband as soon as I can as I don not want to give any services from them if they don't care about their customers. For now I am trapped, quite convenient the 18 months contracts for them. Stay well, well away.

Do mot make contract with vodafone, i have spent hours and hours chasing vodafone customer service and complain deptt but issue hasnt been resolved yet, trust me once you sign the contract they will bully you as much as they can e.g with me when i rang them they said we need to run wire speed test at the time when there customer service is open, but when they are closed they wont take the speed test result that you run on app or on pc, they will try there best to justify that they are sending this much speed on your connection, even they told me that there is something wrong with your house internet wiring, get it checked and it was perfectly fine..
So guys dont buy the broadband from vodafone
Even its sound cheap but trust me it will cost you alot more than what it is.

Joined Voda Fibre from Sky on the 38mbps. Router arrived ontime, plugged in and started working immediately on the said day with constant 38mbps when tested. For the price, no complaints from me, works perfect, never dropped in 4 weeks so far and no line rental costs !!

Terrible service from start to finish - never got to find out what the speed was like because they never connected me and kept saying they couldn't guarantee an eventual connection so I should "maybe look at other providers"
Imagine working for a company where you have so little faith in it you openly suggest customers don't carry on with the service.
Was meant to be connected 5th February. Had to phone and ask what was happening a couple of days later, and was told my account was cancelled. Asked if I would have been told this eventually. They didn't know.
They reinstated the account and then failed to contact me again, so I had to call up again. Bored, script reading agents just kept saying it was out of their hands. By the time I gave up and cancelled the order 3 weeks later, I'd spent about 3 hours talking with various script-readers, not getting any new information, spent over £30 on interim wifi access, and was repeatedly being openly lied to about getting a) any actual definite broadband service and b) a refund for the wifi I was having to buy to work from home.
When I cancelled I was assured by two different bored call centre workers that I'd be refunded the £60 engineers fee for a visit that was never even scheduled, let alone happened, and instead today I've received an actual bill instead, despite not having an account with them any more - when I went to try and query it I can no longer use the account to do so.
Absolute cowboys. They also send auto texts asking for customer service ratings feedback, but if you try to respond with the lowest mark it says the number isn't valid. Nice work, guys.

Been with vf for about 2 months. Started at the promised 70mbs. 23rd Feb dropped completely. Reset and came upto about 16mbs. Contact vf requesting call-back which never happened. Carried on with 16mbs because just couldn't face the vf contact system - life is just too short. Succumbed and contacted them on 28th Feb and it took about 30 mins for their customer service rep to suggest I reset the router - then she disappeared. I reset the router and now get 6mbs. Requested a call-back and am still waiting. The service is terrible and the speed is not what I am paying for. I would steer clear.

My family (5 members) and myself do not have internet for ONE week by the moment!!!!
It was expected to come live on the 21/02/2018.
This did not happen. Called vodafone on 21/02/2018 was promised that internet should come any minute. This did not happen. Chatted online with vodafone on the 22/02, spend 2-3 hours chatting, tested line and router, vodafone concluded that engineer should come and solve the problem with the external line, state that ticket is raised and the problem will be solve within 72 hours. Called vodafone on the 23/02, was told that ticket is not raised for some reason and that now they are rising ticket for sure and that problem will be addressed within 48 hours. Called vodafone on the 24/02-- the representative assured me that engineer will come in 24 hours and that he personally will be calling me to check the status of my problem. This did not happen! Called vodafone on Monday evening 26/02 and asked why engineer did not come contrary to the promisses to come soon -- the answer was that I could not be promised that somebody will come within 24 hours! It is 28/02 -- and still engineer did not call me and did not come. This is disaster -- too many lies, too many excuses, zero efficiency,
and week without the internet -- disaster for me and my family.
Just do not go with vodafone!!!! It is killing me.

I'm coming to the end of my 18 month contract and I am so glad. I have had constant issues with my broadband speed and when it went down completely I found the customer service and response time very poor.
I know it cheap compared to the major providers but if you want a reliable service I would not recommend Vodafone.
I was promised a similar service to my previous provider plusnet but this has proved not to be the case and I will be switching back in a couple of weeks.

vodafone home broadband is the worst isp on todays market, they have internet traffic management that is placed on your fiber, with your normal fiber internet speed of 38mb during the day it will drop to 3mb a night between 7pm to 11.30pm, peak time and that is the time when its needed the most.that is realy bad service. dont sign up with them, pay few pounds more and go with isp that dont traffic management in place

I first ordered broadband services from Vodafone on the 1st of February, needed a new connection so arranged a date for the engineer to come and took a day off work for it. They cancelled the order and I had to start again and after numerous failed attempts to get through to them and after well over 2 hours spent on hold I finally arranged for a new date with an afternoon appointment. They changed it to a morning appointment which was not possible for me and I specifically said that on the phone so now I don't have any day for my broadband to get installed. It has taken almost an entire month and still got absolutely nowhere. Don't waste your time with these useless incompetent idiots the customer service is absolutely shambolic there is no communication between staff whatsoever.

Absolutely terrible. Rang me 2 years ago to see if I wanted a 'free' mobile broadband package. I discovered 2 years later that I'd been paying £9 for the damn thing every month. After a full refund from Vodafone, they continue to charge me £9 a month for absolutely no reason - I have to ring them every single month for a refund as they just can't grasp how to cancel a service on their own systems!

I got a mobile broadband contract on the 28th December 2017, i realised just like so many people that Vodafone was leaking massive data strangely, so i decided to cancel within my 30 day allowance. Got customer services on web chat and on the phone, they confirmed cancellation will take place no problems. about 3 weeks after i noticed they had cancelled my direct debit (so i was somehow assured they had cancelled the contract), Monday 19th February i receive a letter from them telling me that my account had been suspended for non payment of account! i call them up and got them on web chat, the guy says that as soon as your account is cancelled, they also automatically cancel your direct debit but they do this without producing a final bill!. this means that their system has no way of collecting the final payment thus likely to give a false impression of non payment on your credit file. So now i have to manually pay them £25 and then they will send back £17 into my account! what an abysmal service from a horrid company. Most people have had horrible stories to tell about Vodafone, i will certainly never have anything to do with this disjointed company again.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING SERVICE
I have never dealt with such an inadequate company in my life. Shocking. I got broadband activated on 6th Feb, and there has been extremely poor broadband service, some days no service at all, otherwise extremely slow. Service keeps dropping out. I contacted vodafone at least 6 times, and every time get told to reset the router. Absolutely useless. Then i was told that an engineer would visit, but got no confirmation so contacted them again, and there was no visit booked.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY. will be looking to cancel, and make sure that noone i know uses this company again

Just pray nothing goes wrong with your Voda broadband. Our router failed after 2 weeks (at least that is what they say the problem is). The WiFi keeps dropping out and we only got reception standing right next to the router and then only on some devices. The major problem with Voda is their customer services. To sort out this issue I have called them 4 times. Twice I had to wait for over 1 hour, once 24 minutes and another time about 3 minutes before they answer. An absolute joke.

I was BT, I got good customer service. Problem was didn't wifi signal all of house. I went to Vodafone good wifi coverage. When things go wrong spent 1 hour for customer service to answer. They had me on phone for 2 hours still didn't resolve problem. 2nd line support only 9 to 5. After 24 still not working and No contact. At least BT resolve me issues. So I am going back to BT.

Switched from sky as was offered better speeds. Avoid by all costs. Don't be fooled by the good price and high speeds. for 3 weeks now I haven't had a day where the internet has stayed online all day, diconects of 1-3 hours serval times a day. Customer service don't have a clue, get transferred from one person to another. Then to be told they will look into it give you a call back in 48 hours( 5 times thay have said this over the past 3 weeks and each time I'VE had to call them back. on the occasion we do get internet you can't stream, you get high ping in games, have problems with YouTube ect.Cant stress enough how poor this internet is! will give you hours upon hours of stress everyday. Really can't wait till my contracts up. Don't make this mistake.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE EVEN CONSIDERING JOINING VODAFONE BROADBAND.
We joined up and got the £24 per month deal. Should have been easy it was not! I looked at reviews before hand and thought can they really be that bad? THEY ARE AWFUL! We joined online selected our set up date as the 22nd Feb, 2 days before we lose virgin. We got note to say order cancelled followed by ignore now all okay. On the 20th we called to check all okay and they advised the date we selected and date we would be in was only advisory and they would not be out until 2nd March! They had not informed us of this and we will not even be in! We said they had to get someone out on agreed day to be advised this would not happen and when we asked to speak to supervisor they said no one was available, then said NO ONE WAS WILLING TO TALK US! We have now had to compromise and stay with virgin as we cannot be with internet for over a week for various reasons. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID VODAFONE AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE EVEN WORSE THAN EVERYONE SAYS!

I joined Voda fiber after leaving Sky fiber for the cheaper voda prices. The exchange turned out to be oversubscribed by nealry 2x which meant between 5 and 11 evening times, my internet would always end up crawling to 200kpbs (4 times faster than dial up). The link at the exchange still hasn't been upgraded and I'm still, 3 months later, on slow connections in the evening. Didn't have this with Sky. And no choice but to wait for open reach to upgrade the link, which is a woefully slow operation. Sky Fibre was the best internet I'd had and leaving for this is painful.

This is a first day review. All kit delivered on time with easy instructions. Wifi up and running in minutes, phone line a little longer to make/ receive calls. As was suggested in paperwork, internet speed started sluggishly but has really picked up as the day has gone on. Haven't given 5 stars throughout because this is day 1 but I am very pleased so far.

We recently cancelled our fibre with Sky due to this one being alot cheaper. I was slightly worried after I signed up reading some of the reviews, but after having it for 3 weeks its been fine,.
the router is much better than the sky one and I no longer need to use my additional TP Link Wifi booster. The speed is actually better than I was getting before and the app is really good and has all sorts of features,.

Signed up in December 2017 for 76Mb, service seemed fine. Past couple of weeks have been getting 2Mb at peak times. After numerous calls/chats still not fixed. Keep being told to reset router, check wi-fi (it's rubbish even when wired). Avoid at all costs, got another 14 months of this terrible service as found minimum speed guarantee is only for connection from router to the street cabinet, not any further and they say this is 76Mb all the time

I read these reviews after I had agreed to make the switch and was full of dread. They offer 30 days cooling off so I thought I would see how it goes.
All I can say is that it is exactly as promised. High speed connection for £20, perfectly reliable. I have had no problems at all.
