I ordered broadband from them on 21st may which they promised that my services will be activate on on 4th of june and I will receive router within week after placing an order. Today is 6th of june and I am still waiting for router and my broadband service activated on 4th of june. Their bill payment started and I spoke to staff everyday from 2nd of june and everyone saying it will come next day and they wasted week. Today I spoke to paul which is english guy and he don't understand english. When I asked him to can I spoke to your supervisor or manager then he clearly refused and said to me that first I have to tell him reason which I already explained him before requesting to speak to manager. I thought from last week I was speaking every day with staff and they couldn't help, so I will raise issue to their superior people and they can help me out. But I am very disappointed with vodafone and it will be my first and last order.

Swtiched from BT, good but expensive.

Router regularly reboots. Connection drops on broadbancd both wired and wireless.

Pages very slow to load yet somehow it does OK on speed tests.
    Customer service very poor.

But worst of all I am not allowed to get Vodafone mobile phone contract via any third party whilst I have BB with them.

Have had broadband with sky, BT and Vodafone. Had a longstanding issue with poor connection across all providers and Vodafone were the only provider who found the issue and resolved it quickly and efficiently. Great service great speed and the router is good too

At the start of my order, Vodafone missed the connection date by almost 3 months blaming our exchange and said it needed work done on it. Considering I had BT Infinity for years before, I wondered what was wrong; especially as my neighbours, who have BT and Sky had no such problems.
Not a great start, but Vodafone was very helpful and provided us with free mobile data during that time.

When finally up and running, I noticed the speed was getting slower as time went on.
It started off at 69mbps slowly going to 55mbps, which I did not mind because it was enough for our usage.
When with BT I averaged 74.6 and only had the odd disconnection.

Recently disconnects started happening, and huge amounts of FEC and some CRC errors. I phoned Vodafone and they agreed an issue was there and arranged for a BT engineer to call out saying I had a RAIN issue. The engineer called out, said it was not RAIN, and proceeded to change my master socket faceplate and fixed some loose wires that he noticed were loose at the cabinet.
The issue still wasn't fixed, leading to another engineer visit to do a lift and shift at the exchange and some more tinkering with the wires coming into the house.

I left it for a few days, but things are the same. I am left with a connection that has disconnected 3 times yesterday and 14hrs connected today that I had to reset manually because the connection went stale. I phoned Vodafone support who insisted that no issue is present and took me through the range of useless tier 1 support stuff that was never going to check things. In the end, the lady agreed to raise another ticket with second line support who were to ring me back within 24 hours. Over 24 hours have now passed, and no return call.

The Router, as you would expect, is not great - poor wifi that cant cover my terrace house and lacking management features like QoS.

My impression of Vodafone is that there is lower speed than BT, never mind the shaky start, and now there is the issue of the unresolved fault that I feel Vodafone has washed their hands of.

I would never recommend Vodafone Broadband to anyone and even if they fix my issue tomorrow and it stayed fully working, I will still be leaving as soon as my contract ends.

These are my own opinions based on my personal experience.

Immensely happy with Vodafone. Was previously on Post Office, calls and broadband. since the switch we're getting greater than 10x faster download speeds (6~mb to current 62-71mb, both confirmed on Vodafone App and Ookla) and it makes all the difference. Had the occasional drop out, but they are usually resolved within 30 seconds, far quicker than any we had with PO, and those are very rare. Wit the £4 add on for weekend and evening calls, were paying almost exactly the same for better speed, better service, and the same phone line. Could not be happier.

I often feel that people will only review when there is a problem and therefore, reviews are generally biased towards the negative. I saw an offer from Vodafone offering fibre broadband for £20 a month with 24/7 calls, which I could add and takeaway at my leisure, for £8. My then existing supplier, Talk Talk, could not match that. They got a little closer after I had already given them notice to quit, which is really quite ludicrous. So Vodafone was my choice. Throughout the process, Vodafone kept me informed of my "going live" date. When I called them about the delivery of my router, I was assured that it would be delivered on time. Sure enough, within a day of that call, I had my new router. On the day of the switch over, I was out but plugged in my new router the night before, so it would be ready. As it turned out, my day was long and I didn't get back until the early hours of the next day. Naturally, I checked my broadband. All appeared well, two solid green lights were on the router but at first, I couldn't get my laptop connected via wifi. I merely powered the router on and off and restarted my laptop and there is was. A download speed of nearly 38 mbps and an upload speed of nearly 9. Bearing in mind that was the speed I requested, it all looked pretty darn good to me. The wifi signal appears very good, no problems at all in all rooms in my house and at this stage, everything appears solid enough. The router itself is very neat and modern looking and I was told how to get inside the router to change the wireless name and password, which I will do later today. Vodafone were able to port my telephone number without any issues, although I was on BT Openreach lines in the first place, so that made it easier. I felt the whole switchover process was handled perfectly, the communication with Vodafone was excellent and although very early days, I can only say that I am delighted with it all. My non fibre speed with Talk Talk was always around 6 mbps download and around .80 upload, so the speed I have now is equivalent to a snake! For my needs, the 38 mpbs service was perfectly adequate. Regards the price, well in real terms I am getting this cheaper than I would have done with Talk Talk. Talk Talk were trying to retain me my giving me half price calls but when I asked what would happen if I were away for a month or so and dropped the calls part of the package and then re-instated them, they told me they would go back at the full price, so that would bring the price of fibre and calls to £33.50 and they would not budge from that. With Vodafone, I am paying £28, with the assurance that if I took calls away from time to time, they would be reinstated at the same price £8. What I have also been impressed with from Vodafone, it their no nonsense approach to pricing without all these ridiculous add ons that competitors try to sell you, for example tv etc. I don't require any of that. Vodafone's pricing and contract arrangements were clear and concise. I would highly recommend.

Failed to switch my broadband correctly. Paying £42 to BT instead of the £25 promised. Vodafone blame BT even though they share the same network. They said they will handle the switch but in the end blame the customer. Useless service, lies and contradictions. Never again.

We switched to Vodafone as we are mobile customers and the price was so good. I regret this hugely. The speed was very slow and meant we could not watch films despite paying for fastest speed. After hours of phone calls where we were told the speed was acceptable and numerous hoops we had to jump through at home to try speed it up (no engineer was ever offered) we have decided to cancel. It is so bad that we have paid around £200 to get out of our contract early and go back to sky. Do not use this supplier.

All references to 'lies' below are my honest opinion based on my experiences, I have used the term as I believe it to be the most accurate description. I repeat opinion rather than fact, for legal reasons.

In our experience Vodafone Broadband, drops out a lot, does not reach the promised speeds, has dreadful ping times and when you contact them they appear to lie to you, then appear to lie some more and never so much as bother responding in the way requested (The lies I refer to relate to their reason for low broadband speeds (less than 15mbps when our line is capable of 60+mbps)
being broadbandd wireless interference stating I was too far from the router despite being plugged in via ethernet, that to allow a third party router would result in their licence being withdrawn, that because their router stated 59mbps all other measurements (which, moneysupermarket, uSwitch etc broadband speed tests were wrong) and that they would call or email in response as requested - all untrue, you can decide if untrue statements are in fact lies or if I have misinterpreted these, you decide.

Not once did they call me on the number the call was requested on or reply via email - they did call my partner's phone despite specifically being asked not to - way to go - excellent display of listening and complying with a request from a customer.

Oh and try buying a router of your own to use (in our case for enhanced parental controls), good luck with filtering through the seemingly pre prepared scripted lies relating to that. (Really would this result in their 'licence' being revoked - seriously!!) If so why have they not lost it when their own forum is littered with how some customers have managed to use third party router (try typing in searches about using third party routers on vodafone to see for yourself)

If I could escape the contract and go elsewhere for a higher the cost I would do so without a second thought.

If you want awful service go for it otherwise go elsewhere.

Poorly trained staff, seemingly pre scripted untruths - the most truthful response I have had is that they can't help - I suspect that it is more won't than can't but that part is also opinion.

Vodafone gained a broadband customer until the end of the contract but will almost certainly lose our business plus my partner's mobile business and there is no chance I will use them when I am looking for a new mobile provider in the next few months.

Vodafone have effectively made a great case for me to use a different supplier - perhaps they should get commission for that.

Way to go Vodafone - oh and I also reported their speed guarantee advert to the ASA - the response being that Vodafone are already under investigation for that, the outcome of this is not yet known, at least by me. ( Not just us noticing an issue with this then)

Again, way to go Vodafone, why not just cut me off and keep taking the money as it's about the only base not covered so far in terms of destroying any trust I had in them.

One thing is they, after some complaint, applied a 15% discount we did not ask for although I had complained that their router appeared to overstate the speed presumably to avoid giving the discount for speeds below the guarantee, all we asked for was what we paid for being the broadband speed - which Vodafone stated that BT confirmed not to be possible despite the speeds having been provided with our previous supplier also using the openreach network (another seemingly in true statement via Vodafone), I suppose the discount is small consolation.

Well there you have it, speeds way lower than our previous supplier, frequent drop outs, refusal to allow us to use a router with enhanced parental controls, customer contact littered with seemingly untrue statements, awful ping times and failures to so much as follow simple customer request to correspond in the way requested.

I'll get the above won't appear in their next advert.

Did I mention the above has produced unhappy customers?

    Vodafone 76mb Service £24pcm

Started with the 38mbs service, on go live date I connected router but no service. Rang Vodafone and they had to "flick a switch" at their end. Within 5 minutes connected.

Router App confirmed sync at 40mbs. Ookla confirmed similar.

A year on and upgraded to 76mbs at the discounted rate of £24pcm. Router app confirmed sync at 79.9mbs. On WiFi I'm averaging about 74mbs downstairs and about 65mbs at to of house.

Had a few issues with WiFi dropping out. Vodafone were very good, we worked together to rule out issues one by one. A replacement router fixed the fault.

    Billing is accurate.
Customer service really do try to help and are a far very from Vodafone's legendary mobile phone customer service of old (not a compliment). From my experience (and people may choose to agree or disagree with this) when there are issues it can frequently be because the customer hasn't listened and followed instructions.

All in all it is a good service for a good price with good customer service. Would I recommend? If you are in a fibre area then definitely yes.

If I could a review for minus 5 stars I certainly would. Throughout my whole experience of broadband from the initial receiving of router to today it has been absolutely appalling! Waited a week after the so called go live date to be fobbed off by Vodafone blaming everyone and everything but themselves, to date after 12 months of constant communication with them have still not received promotional gift of £75 shopping card, again Vodafone blaming everyone even me for me not receiving it (I did everything that was required to receive the gift ie registering on the correct date when asked to abd communicating with 3rd party company TLC who process the gift card) Now as I write this I have been waiting 72 hours to have my broadband and landline to go active again which vodafone are blaming BT for its an absolute joke. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BROADBAND they should have stuck to mobile phone coverage it's a disgrace.

I read some very poor reviews of Vodafone broadband. Despite this, I took a chance for a few reasons. Firstly, they're £30 per month cheaper than BT. Secondly, I've had excellent service from them for my mobile phone accounts. And thirdly, they have a minimum speed guarantee or money back. Also, I was going on the belief that if the line was fast and reliable with BT (it was), it'd be a good foundation for Vodafone to work on. I have absolutely no idea if there's any technical merit in this belief, but I went with it anyway! My go-live date was 02-05-2018. No service by midnight, so I contacted them the next morning. They stated that BT/Openreach hadn't done what they were supposed to at their end. They said they'd look into it and get back to me. They apologised and credited my phone and my partner's phone with 50Gb of data each by way of apology and to see us through. Soon after, I received an email from BT that confirmed what Vodafone had told me. The service kicked in the next day. First day speed, 20Mbps. Next day, up to 32. Currently sitting at 46. I've paid for 76, guaranteed 55, and it seems to be gradually climbing in that direction. Their hub looks great, has good coverage in my 3 bedroom bungalow (performs better than BT hub in a blackspot in master bedroom) and I have not experienced any drop in service thus far. I have 4 firesticks, 4 echo dots, 2 smartphones, 2 tablets, 2 games consoles and 3 smart home devices connected to the hub. Six or seven of these devices could be operating simultaneously, and I have had no issues. So, one week in and I'm very happy. I know it's early days, but so far, so good. And I also have to say that I've always had very good customer service from Vodafone, and this time was no different. It appears that they are making a genuine attempt to mend their reputation in this regard, although as stated, I've never had a bad experience.

Having been on this review site before making my choice of broadband provider, it was evident that every mainstream provider has exactly the same level of bad reviews, so my decision was based on my own gut feeling instead of reliable internet reviews, it seems it’s true that a huge majority of internet reviewers only post because they want to share their bad experience, and people who have had a perfectly satisfactory experience seldom share it online. So I would like to post mine here. I chose Vodafone mainly because their super fast 2 fibre deal was £12 cheaper per month than Sky. We were moving house so my previous provider ruled themselves out due to inability to provide a service at my new address.... strange as I have moved to a more urban area. Anyway, switch on day I had no service by 7pm. I rang customer service and they had sorted it within an hour, I was away from home at the time so they rang my wife at home and sorted it out with her. Job done. A week in I am more than happy with the service. I have had no interruptions to my service, I have streamed a few premier league games and am getting upwards of 60 mbps speeds. The only negative so far is that my house is a three storey new build and in the top floor en suite the wifi signal is very weak. Apart from that minor I would recommend Vodafone broadband.

Extremely bad customer service, very disorganised, no coordination between employees, everyone is saying different things!!! I referred this service to my friend and he has to wait 2 months to get the service. Now, I wanted t transfer the ownership of one broadband to my friend and this is what happened since last 5 days:
I called them today and they said the transfer of ownership will start on 23rd of May and I need to fill a form on that day?! Before 3 days I spoke with another person at Vodaphone and he told me that the transfer of ownership will start on 2nd of May and he gave me a link to a form and asked me to fill it and I did, Last week we filled another form at a Vodaphone store in Derby City in the UK transfer the ownership and they said it would happen in 10 days!!!. They sent me 2 emails asking me to call the department of transferring but when I am calling them everyone is saying different things. NOT recommended unless if you want to make yourself in a big trouble. I would never refer to anyone or recommend to anyone else

The issue is we have spent 2 month without our previous landline number with the time still growing.
we had original stated that we would need to have our old number from virgin media( originally from talk talk and bt before that)this was before we had the internet and landline installed.
This first request seemed to have done nothing in the way of them doing anything as we had to call virgin media for the request and virgin had not seen a request from Vodafone.
Then we called Vodafone a further 3 time before success we had a date of when would receive our old number. the Day comes and still nothing no old number.
there is a waiting time of 2 weeks between each call meaning that we are now far out from the 30 day cancellation but if they had said we can't get numbers from Virgin Media we would have never moved to them.

    How I hate this company!
I was visiting the UK for one month! I went into one of thier shops to get a pay as you go deal to cover my stay.
I was told that it was not the way to do it by enthusiastic sales people.
The way to go is get a months contract and cancel the next day. This used the 30 day cancellation procedure. This saved about 30 pound!
I took their advice. During the month I had problems with them and lost the will to live trying to talk somewhere in the world to an operator I could not understand and went ruthlessly through his script!
I went back to Thailand thinking I was rid of them for ever, only to find they took 240 pound out of my account for early cancelling!
I guess those salespeople got commission!!
They have won! They can keep the money! Life is too short to challenge them!
Never ever again will I consider this horrendous company!

Absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs. Vodaphone are probably the worst ever broadband AND phone provider I have had the misfortune to encounter. I have been a customer with them for 16 years and have only stayed because of their extensive network coverage. To date I have had to virtually sue them for their appalling customer service. The Ombudsman found in my favour and I was awarded £1000! from Vodaphone. Mistakenly I took out their broadband thinking they had improved. They have not. The broadband is appalling, constantly drops out and half the time doesn't even work at all. In spite of raising yet another complaint I am unable to actually contact Olivia who is mean to be from the Directors Office and who claims to be handling my complaint. The reason being, that all of the customer service agents I speak to cant understand me, cant speak English and read literally from an autocue! In desperation today I tried to raise a complaint on live chat but no I was told that I now have to start a fresh complaint as the old one has expired!! So now I am stuck with 2 phones costing me £100 per month and broadband that is so useless we don't even bother trying to use it and have instead reverted to using our EE hub which is brilliant. I am now in the process of cancelling my broadband and raising yet another complaint with the Ombudsman because Vodaphone wont listen to me. If you are considering Vodaphone DONT!!!! they are frankly appalling!

I left origin to go to VODAPHONE good choice ? Not sure today is Monday I started with VODAPHONE last Wednesday 25 so it's been 5 days yesterday used this sites speedchecker 16 Mb a long way short of the promised 75Mb so I don't know what to do !m well within my cooling off period so it's a case of wait and see if it hits the magic number , I don't know if I've solved my problems that I had with origin that wastnt a speed issue it was RELIABILITY and contacting THEM .ive spent hours on this site reading people's views on lots of ISP providers and I've said this before there is no one size fits ALL and when this new legislation comes into force in MAY telling us WHAT speeds We CAN get not WHAT we can expect there's is going to be some fun ,if I don't get my promised speed I'll forget about the ISP ,trade my I pad for a cellular model and get a rolling SIM contract I only use it for browsing and reading various mags I've subscribed to I don't have hoards of kids using iPads playstationsand all the other things that use the web so bye from colin in sunny TEESSIDE tarra

Switched over to vodafone as my mobile is with them and all went fine. The broadband speed is never as high as I'm paying for and it constantly drops out especially at peaktimes around 1800-2200 and the router is poor signal always drops out upstairs in bedrooms.

I have just started with VODAPHONE yesterday 24/4/2018!was with origin .i had contact 3 different people to get my correct address I went live yesterday 10 am tried to register with VODAPHONE kept getting some error 491 ,had to contact techies had 3 different passwords finally got onto my VODAPHONE I haven't tried to register today 25 can't face it it is a farce !!!!! It really TALK TALK AND ORIGIN they were no bother THIS well it's sorted now ,but speed well I had 17 Mbs then it went to 8 Mb this morning it's been 9Mb then 2.5 Mb now it's 17Mb I quite frankly am sick of these ISP providers and these speeds they claim CAN reach I know they say it takes ten days to SETTLE in what does THAT really MEAN settle in BS i saw something recently saying the MASTS settle down? what is it a sailing ship ? Of course u have sites on the web telling you get a better router and some power line adaptors why don't the ISP providers with decent kit upfront I was told by origin the router was £40 pound and they will bill me "well I have 2 and I'll bill them I,m getting carried away now so I'll sign off tara

Had it for four weeks and never worked. Had to ring every day for two weeks and make a complaint before someone told me the truth that it would take 2-3 months to be fixed.
They have oversold the capacity they have so in some cases all their customers that are connected to the same street exchange get very, very slow speed. I left and I am now very happy with now tv as it's just sky for less money.

I was a bit dubious about moving to Vodafone Broadband as there seemed to be so many bad reviews of their service, but I have to say that the company has exceeded my expectations in every way. The changeover was handled quickly and efficiently, I was kept informed during the process, and the service was activated on schedule. The initial speed was very slow, but when I raised this with Vodafone they organised for an engineer to visit within less than 24 hours. He found a problem with the wiring in the main socket in the house and sorted it out at no charge. My current download speed of 40 Mb/s is even faster than Vodafone's claim of 38 Mb/s. This compares with the 36 Mb/s I was getting on a service rated at 76 Mb/s from my old provider, who definitely didn't do me proud. I'm a happy customer. Well done, Vodafone!

After 7 months of misery and lots of bad things Head Office resolved my complaint.
I'm getting Sync speed 68 Mbit/s and 65 Mbit/s Real download speed during Peak Hours.
So far best broadband I ever had
On sad note... you will need your own router plug in Voodoo box to enjoy trouble free experience.

The worst fiber-optic broadband I have had for over 15 years. Including, SKY, EE (the best) and others. Constantly keeps dropping signal or running very slow and vodafone are unwilling to terminate my contract. I have heard many similar complaints since and the same with their mobile phone contracts. Avoid at all costs!

Well...I never took notice of these reviews specially about the dropping and I have now paid for it!! I though that this will happen to others and not to me!! How wrong I was! Changed from BT to Vodafone. They run on the same track but I don't understand why it drops so often when BT is pretty reliable (not a single drop in a year I stayed with them). Vodafone told me I needed to change the channel...kept doing that but no luck everyday at the beginning of the connection it dropped even for hours specially during the first 10 days. Sometimes i do work for home and put me in serious difficulties as delayed everything and deadlines I had to complied with . The speed-test I took were irrational, sometimes download was 53 out of 76 but most of the time in the 30s and even on several occasions 12, 15 and 22. Most of the time in the 40s . How do you explain this? Where is the Super-fast that they advertise? BT tried to persuade me not to move to Vodafone because if service goes down they do not have 24 hours service, so I told this to Vodafone and they told me they are wrong that they also have 24 hours support if line goes down. So one of the days that service went down and I had to do important work I rang support at 23 hours and in fact their technical support is NOT 24 hours, so they lied to me. The only positive thing i found was that I live in a four bed house and with BT even their super router as BT advertise and proud of, is a lot of nonsenses ( i still have to use an extender) but surprisingly with the Vodafone router connection reached all corner of my house when it worked (maybe a coincidence) but was dropping and dropping. It is really sad that a big company as Vodafone sells a product that are not able to provide to the public and moreover satisfy. They have so many problems (you only have to see this reviews) and is giving them such a
bad reputation. Or you have the equipment to provide a reliable service or better stay out Mr VODAFONE DIRECTOR please take note if you don't want your business to collapse. Customer services was OK never tried to put any hindrance when i decided to cancel (within the 30 days), the only annoyance is that when you call the usual stuff....if you want this press 1, if you want that press 2 and so on and so on...but when you get there it happens that it is another department and then there is another two telephone transfers before you reach the right department and you have spent 20 minutes on the phone waiting and another 20 explaining over and over again the issue. Why you bother to put an automated answering service it it never gets you to the right people. I think that Trading Standards should take notice of this, it is making people to loose so much time. Having said that this latter is the usual thing with all telephone companies and it is that they never learn....!!! I have come back to BT for the moment and for reliability but I have to say that among all the telephone companies BT has the the most dreadful customer service you can experience. You will be OK if you have no problems but if you do.... you better start saying your prayers beforehand....!!! I might comeback to Vodafone but before that I need to see that they have greatly improve and that they provide a steady service with no dropping! Of course, at the moment you get what you pay for....!

Worst broadband and terrible customer service. Messed with me for 2 months. I was getting 9-15 mbps on 76 mb package when they guaranteed 62.8 min speed. Previous providers speed was 30-32 mb on 38mb package at least but I thought Vodafone can be better and that was a mistake. After 2 months of almost 3-= calls weekly and hours and hours on each call I finally stopped their payments and told them to take me to court as they wouldn't even let me go.

    TERRIBLE CS.

Their staff only work for salary and don't care about company's reputation or think about customer.

    DONT BUY.

I sing the contact on 16 of March for 76 mbps. They promised me that everything will start on 23 rd of March, just arrived to home got text that my internet will start 4 of April. 4 of April internet was actived but router I got 7 of April:D
When I plugged into the wall off course nothing was working. I was calling to customer service many times and after waiting additional week 12 of April finally engineer came and fixed problem. Every single evening from aroud 6 pm speed of internet is around 2-5 mbps but now is all the time like this so I would say that I stuck without internet again.
I try to cancel my contract because I'm really tired of Vodafone. So if you don't want have problem with internet keep away from Vodafone.

Constantly drops out, usually runs at under 1 Mbs, ( was 30+ when first installed). waited on phone for several hours,. Cannot chat online with advisor because it keeps dropping out.
Terrible, will be changing suppliers as soon as contract is up.
