    Had a new wifi box fitted because old one was too slow and now it's been off for about a month and my have been out twice to look and they just say someone else will come look at it but they never do. No wifi for the past month, so not get sky wifi.

    New customer, installed was not working on 2 days later, used for 2 weeks got cut offf, inppossible to speak to anyone message service a waste of time, no one could tell me how to resolve the situation so told me my payment had not gone through- they had not requested it!!!! then told the day after that the order had failed and they could re-connect 14 days!!! I asked if I was entitled to go elsewhere as they are telling me I don't have an account- yes free to go, by the way how did we do 1-5 answer -5 what a disgrace

    We've been with Sky just under a year, and their DLM keeps capping us by sticking the SNR (line noise) up on our line more and more. We keep getting passed from person to person with no real help, they keep blaming our equipment even though we've had the BT engineers out to test our equipment saying there's nothing wrong & that our line is good. Which is correct as we live less than a mile away from our exchange, it's not a company I would recommended for broadband they slow you down and blame your equipment. Once my contract has ended I'm switching.

    Hi there,

    I ordered a sky package with sky.
    They sent me a message saying, there is some error and I need to contact them at so and so numbers.
    The problem is after 45minutes per day for the past couple of days and still I couldn't contact them. I am cancelling my order now.

    If any one is planning to take a package from them. then my humble opinion is not to do that. Completely avoid them.

    OK I filled out the form wrong but they took my deposit of £5 on the 27/2/16 then I spent 20 minutes on the phone as they cancelled the contract due to my error now but advised they would reimburse. Now 23/3/16 still no funds received and have now been passed to my 3rd person on an on going call of 15 minutes. Poor service.

    Like so many on here that have been ripped off by Sky, I thought I'd add my story and review this tin-pot outfit.

    No-end of drop outs once they put me on their 'superfast fibre' superfast my arse it is. I was first on 59 mb package and lucky if I had 36 to 40 and that was on a CAT 6 direct to the router. I called their, well, what they have they nerve to call 'customer service' and they were useless! This was over a period of 8 months of no-end of drop outs and poor speeds. In the end I took my complaint to CISAS and I would everyone who has an issue with Sky, TAKE THEM TO CISAS, they were very good indeed, backed my claim for compensation and I was now dealing with dedicated Sky complaints dept. Oh yes, their services are that crap they actually have a dedicated dept to deal with their shoddy service.

    I'm currently trying to get the media and BBC's Rip off Britain involved as now they have upgraded me as I wanted to leave them. They put me on 152 Mb fibre to which I average 62Mb on wi fi and 79 to 82Mb on a CAT 6 direct to the router, it's utterly rubbish! To get anywhere near 152 Mb you'd need to be on 500 Mb. With SKY you never get what they charge you for. if you want a 60 Mb fibre package you need to sign up for the 152 Mb to get close.

    Whatever you do, don't bother dealing with the Derby 1 centre, what a bunch of clowns they are there; absolute idiots! When I asked Sharma to put me through to her line manager she went away, came back and said the manager does not want to speak with you. The call was recorded so, go on Sky, I dare you, put that conversation online for everyone to hear the conversation and how your operatives lie and conduct themselves.

    We have all seen the advert for EE broadband where the machine shaves a guy using a blade on their fibre network to shave a guy on the mountain. You've also seen the one where they land a plane from someone's lounge with a 100 devices connected. Trust me, you'd never want an open blade or ever want to be on a plane using Sky's fibre broadband, OMG what a joke. You'd either get your throat cut, or the plane would nose dive!

    I'm about to file another complaint with CISAS and this time I'm done with these cowboys. I shall get my credits that I'm due and NEVER-EVER use Sky ever again!

    How these cowboys can operate in the UK and rip people off like this, it's just a joke!

    Sky is old hat now, their technology is draconian, there are much better companies. If you can get it, go with Hyperoptic or Gigaoptic they have over 15,000 5 star reviews.

    Before contract even finished started charging nearly £20 more on top
    Submitted ticked with a help centre then spoke with them and totally unhelpful no consideration about anything, always was telling about about confusing t&c no interest in resolving anything.
    Sky Makes double contacts with different ending dates so they catch out customers and then forward much higher bills!

    Good customer service, worst broadband ever! Keeps lagging every time, and I have even the most expensive fibre unlimited broadband. Bad experience for an 18 month contract -_-

    Been a sky customer for over 28 years, moved house Been waiting for WiFi for over a week ( and still paying for the privilege) should of gone live today,had text to say up and running,got home from work still no WiFi got on phone waited 30 minutes for answer person on phone tried to help with no joy Been told got to have engineer out out but did know when they are coming,Been told could be a week very unhappy with sky thinking of leaving and still paying for no WiFi.

    Tried to join today after having trouble joining plusnet! I checked out a deal online and called them as i would rather speak to a real person and obviously dont have broadband at my address (hence getting set up with sky broadband). I got to the end of the call and was told to get the full package i want i would have to do my order online, i was given no other choice. I went online and placed my order, they said they were going to charge my card £25, turns out they actually charged £45 pounds and assumed we needed a new phone line fitted at this address costing £20 to send an engineer out to do it. Called Sky and told them what had happened, they refused to refund the £20 although we did not need the service, and suggested we cancel our order with sky to get a full refund and then start again. I took their advice and cancelled. Later on that evening i tried to join a different broadband provider, only to be told that i would not be able to join any other provider because i have a pending cancellation and sky have hold of my line for another week! Appalling customer service and theives. Easy for these companies to take your money near impossible to get it back. STAY AWAY FROM SKY.

    UNBELIEVABLY POOR

    Sky broadband is so extremely bad, that I couldn't even load the SKY webpage to run the Sky broadband speed test. Do I need to say anymore?

    So, I tried to visit the Virgin Media website, as I want to change provider, but it won't load that either.

    DON'T BUY SKY BROADBAND.

    To be fair, the Sky TV package is very good. But, broadband is worse than dial up.

    Set up a contract in October 23 for the Broadband £25

    I cancelled the sky TV in April 2024 end of contract Sky put the Broadband up from £25-£43 the deal was not linked I contacted them they explained it was an error and would put the initial agreement back I confirmed this several times on the phone .I have now received emails to say I have entered into our 18 month contract for £38 from the date of the phone call today
    I took that agree this all that happened on the phone call was that they apologised and reinstated the initial Broadband deal they are clearly all on some sort of commission and putting you into contract you didn’t agree to

    Let's begin by moaning about the overall broadband connection. let me start by saying that it I said a miracle that I am able to access this website online. Wizardry I tell you. We have calculated that the broadband speed is running at around 0.75 thingys which compared to the 30-40 thingys that are neighbours and close friends are getting, it doesn't sound all that marvellous. We have been having problems with our WiFi connection since May 2017. Since then it has been off and on constantly. We contact the useless people who live in the Sky call centre and ask them for help. It seems that all they are capable of doing is sending round an engineer who arrives around one week later. I genuinely believe that every single Sky engineer has visited our house. It gets worse.
    I can tell you exactly what the engineers do:
    First they identify the router box and wiggle a few cables around. Then they try turning it off and then turning it back on. Then they declare that they have done everything within their capability and call for a BT Openreach engineer who tracks it back down the cable to the big green box at the end of the road. He then declares that it isn't his job and that the Sky engineers should be able to fix it as it isn't within the household. Then a Sky engineer comes round and it all happens again.
    Our grief doesn't end there. The people who are on the other end of the phone are frankly rude and disrespectful. All they do is ensure that they are not at fault. As a matter of fact, one of the people told us that we had to go out to a pub to use the Sky Hub that they put there. WHAT?! We pay nearly £80 a month for Sky services and get nothing in return. To quote my nan, Sky can shove their services up their jumper.

    I'm supposed to be getting 60mbps-70mbps but I'm actually getting 17.8mbps. Paying the highest package for "superfast". It cuts out at least 4 times a day and takes 20 minutes to re boot. Would not reccomend to anyone.

    I wouldn't even bother it's the worst Internet I've every experienced. I think the old dial up would be quicker. The Internet drops in and out even with a lan connection. They have been out to upgrade the router and it made no different. Complete pile of sh#t. Never get the average speed they promise and then they have the cheek to up there prices. Ducking jog on sky. I wouldn't even recommend them or wish them on my worst enemy. AVOID AT ALL COST

    Keep your money got fibre optic as advised waste of money 2mb and crashes keep you on phone 25 min ( on a good day) and that's only to answer it then another 45 min and still no help lost will to live customer service sticks big company that don't value customers Don't waste money look around got to pay for contract for another six months because of clauses in contract!!!!! Not happy fuming pissedoff wish virgin was around here

    Great at taking your money, the broadband itself has been mostly OK, but then when you want to ask questions or end a contract the service from staff is really poor. It's like they don't train people well, they become passive agressive and you have to chase them up. I wouldn't use them again.

    I left Sky for another broadband supplier and before I did so, I called Sky about the money left in my account which should be refunded to my account after I left. The customer officer said that the system would do so automatically but there was nothing happened. I called Sky and another officer told me that the system would never process this automatically and customers need to call Sky to get their money back. I write this for your information. Best regards

    Sky Broadband is the worst service.
    We joined Sky and cancelled their broadband package 6 weeks later as we had 0.5Mbs. We joined O2 and went to 5+Mbs instantly.
    Unfortunately O2 sold their broadband to Sky and we are (bizarrely/strangely back to 0.5Mbs). So we have cancelled Sky broadband again and are nowing joining BT.

    Totally appalling. Very slow Internet, and after doing a home move with them my billing was changed without being informed at the time and now I am wanting to leave due to misleading information and they will charge me to end my contract. For anyone looking at getting sky think first and see if you can get a better deal somewhere else. Sky really is not worth what you pay

    Phone line stopped working at the weekend but the only way to report the fault is by phone. Have been kept on hold for a long time and are either cut off by them or can't afford to keep waiting when phoning from my mobile. It shows online that there are problems with our internet speed but their suggestion is to wait for the weather to improve. Tried to complain online but their advisers are always busy. I did get in a queue once, and every minute they said an advisor would be with me shortly, but after 10 minutes I disappeared from the queue and went back to the previous page. I tried yo cancel the call package online but was told there was a problem and to phone their helpline. Not sure why they think the best way to report a phone problem is by phone or why they can use weather as a reason for poor internet but will have to try and find a better service.

    utter useless they can not find a fault and say there isn't a fault on the line they told me to record the fault times and I lost connection to the internet 14 time in one week but there isn't a fault ! what a con !!!!!

    This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. For a long time I told myself not to switch away from TalkTalk because the connection was so reliable and my kids will kill me if they can't game. I never had any issues with TalkTalk, but was lured by the prospect of Sky Q multi-room TV - what a truly disastrous error. Constantly drops the connection meaning my kids get kicked out of games they're winning and we can't watch a movie without having to re-boot the sky box. I have discovered that several of my friends have also been drawn in with identical results. I have spent hours on the phone with Sky only to receive a barrage of useless information. I am told that the source of the issue is the firmware carried by the Sky router and thy can't find a fix for it. Have tried bridging using a separate modem and router, but Sky has put blockers on so you can only use their kit - which is utterly useless. Am currently planning a fathers' one-way trip to the Moon so our Kids can't find us and terrorise us any more! So bad, I'm going to take the contract hit and move away.

    Absolutely the worst broadband experience, drops, slow and they do not let you cancel. Totally disgusted.
    I would not go with sky for anything again, and previously albeit several years ago it was very good.
    I just want to cancel. And use a provider that works.

    Why I stayed with Sky for more than 3 years I have absolutely no idea. Their upload / download speed is a joke for the package you pay. And without hesitation or an apology, they upped their pricing an extra fiver a month without informing their customers! Sod that, I've left. I now pay 9.99 all in (inc line rental). I suggest others do the same and look elsewhere...

    Would give 0 on everything except customer service if I could. Been horrendous since installing and been worse since working from home. Constant drop outs and slow download speeds on both work and personal devices with some things taking literally days to download. Do not bother with it

    It is the worstttttttttt service I have ever had. The internet sucks, the servicemen screwed up my wires very badly and costumer service made me wait 1.5 hours just to hang up on me and not call me back. The instant messenger service is useless- waited two days for response and then got told to talk to phone reps! Worse ever!!

    Avoid. Cannot understand advisors, do not follow through with promises, if advisors are United Kingdom - they are extremely rude. All products incur faults. Waiting times are enormous. Try another company first for your nervous system.

    Took 6 weeks (and 4 calls each lasting longer than an hour) before they told me that everything they had told me before was wrong, then right, then wrong again.

    I left when they said it was would be another two weeks before I had internet (would have been waiting for a total of 8 weeks!!!!!!!!).

    Their callcentre staff don't do as they say they will and each time you call they have no record of your previous call. They say they'll call you and then don't and just lie about the extra things they need to charge you for (e.g. an Engineer that needs to come, then doesn't, then does, then doesn't).

    Just awful. Very stressful, and ultimately fruitless.
