Satisfaction is really zero. Customer service should be zero. Broadband speed is not to bad. Reliability is debatable.I have sent a lot of emails to this company and they never reply I have telephoned them and they keep you waiting so long you give up.My service came live on the 27/3/2017 and it stopped working after 2 days it took a 80 min phone call to sort it after a further 7 days it broke again I did not bother contacting them by phone this time I sent them a email to which they did not reply I sorted it my self. I would not recommend this broadband provider to anyone.

When I joined Origin, in October 2016, they were the best ISP I had ever dealt with, and one of the best companies at all I had ever done business with. That's because their offer was reasonable and clear, and there were no surprises afterwards. Most importantly, whenever I had a question, I could immediately get in touch with a knowledgeable person, either by email or chat, who would give sensible answers to all questions and solve all problems (which were rather trivial).
A month ago, in March of 2017, when I wanted to look at my account online, I discovered that Origin had turned into one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. I couldn't log into my account (and so couldn't see my bill, which included charges for phone calls), and when I asked to have a new password emailed the website said this had been done (I tried several times), but nothing arrived in my inbox (or spam).
When I tried to contact Origin they would neither respond to emails nor on their chat. When I called I got to talk to people who told me they would have this fixed, and an email sent to me so I could access my account again, but this never happened, even though I called at least three times.
Something very bad has happened to Origin, although I have no idea what, or why ...

I'm on a low income so decided to try out the £10pm deal. Signing up online was simple. I also got text messages telling me when the router would be delivered plus and installation date by email (tech didn't need to come into my house).
Just swapped routers on installation day. Phone line worked fine but I had no internet connection. So called Origin and the customer service girl tried to sort out problem but with no luck. The techs there needed to have a look. I was in a call queue to them but was cut off 2/3 times (I think the techs there were trying to get the call queue down so did this deliberately!I used to work in a call centre). However when I did get through tech sorted out in seconds.
All working fine, its not the fastest but its much the same as Talk Talk my previous supplier. Worth it for the cheaper price, though worried this may increase next year.

If you have time to waste. Like being given the runaround, like to spend hours on hold on the phone, have money to giveaway, love being ignored, like to spend time waiting for a call you never get, don't like getting straight or any answers to your legitimate questions, love listening to lies and absolutely love getting fobbed off.

Terrible to get hold of. Despite cancelling our service earlier this year they still took a payment from our Scout Group account. Repeated attempts to contact by phone and email with no replies. Then they email us to say payment failed for this month!!

The service reflects in the price.
Literally spend more than 15minutes waiitng on 3 separate occasions.
Took less than 5 for someone to answer to take payment ... what a shame in the areas of customer satisfaction.
They do not send any communication of order updates.

To update my previous review. They charge for the first part of the month (when broadband installed) by direct debit. And then every month payment goes from prepaid sum at the beginning of the month.

Impossible! It took 1 month to set he connection for what I paid 499 GBP in advance for 18 Months upfront. All this after hours of hanging on the phone with the customer service. Yesterday they charged me the 29.41 GBP by direct debit!!! They even had not provided the invoice!!!
Don't trust this company. Will got to my bank to reverse the transaction.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It would have been funny if they weren't withholding £130 of my money despite not providing me with a service. They blocked my attempts to contact them. Absolute disgrace.

I've no idea how this organisation has had any favourable Reviews. I have found them incredibly hard to contact via either email or phone, unreliable to the point of dishonesty, and totally unprofessional in their communications. Having promised a broadband service and taken my money for 3 months, when it became apparent that no service was possible they quickly abandoned me, promising a 'full refund', they have given only one months rental back, and have refused to respond to my further communications. To be avoided like the plague!

Worst experience ever! 3 weeks ago I sign up with these guys, still dont have internet in the flat. If you call the costumer service prepare yourself to wait 40 min in line before someone talks to you no matter if it's 7am or 11pm. They are busy alright, because this doesent worth a penny. Had an engineer booked to fix the flat one day that just didn't show up, apparently no one from the costumer service proceded with the booking. Stay away from them, spend a couple of pounds more and go somewhere else!

My line is already only 5mb, but for paying for 17mb they couldnt pull that off. After raising it with them through webchat they looked into it, but never heard from them.
Then web chat disappeared, and i get cutouts daily. to call, you need to be on hold around 5 years and they replied to 1 email in 5 days, not giving me an answer, and its been weeks on my replies to that.
Just avoid. They're a minor cost saving for awful Asus routers and tragically inadequate customer service staffing.

Well, where do i start. 1mb upload and download speed. Upgraded to fiber and still same speed only to find out i hadnt been upgraded. Then the internet cut off completely. This week alone iv spent around 10hrs waiting for my call to be answered. Im at my wits end with teenages having meltdowns over internet withdrawal symptoms. This company has clearly got too big too quick and doesnt work :( in 6 months its done nothing but get worse... iv been on hold for 1hr 33 min as i write this. Not ideal if you have any kind of life at all i should charge them for wasting my time !

As bad as we had to switch 8 months before the end of the contract (and pay for it!). Broadband hardly ever above 1Mbps, average (not the longest, I tried maybe 5-6 times) wait on the phone line 45-60min

Working perfectly from day one for about half a year now. Speeds are sometimes even higher than what we pay for, but never less. (Depends on time and day)
Had to contact them only once and it was to make sure when technician is coming, so I contacted them using chat on their website and everything was smooth like butter. Only thing you should think of is if you need more expensive router, because we went with cheaper one and in home with 4 people, that means 4 computers, 4 phones, router sometimes can't handle this and reboot. Otherwise perfect and highly recommended.

Avoid at all costs, hasn't worked since it was transferred 3 weeks ago, cannot get through on the phone up to 2 hours in a queue, they ignore your emails and do not respond to their facebook pages. Would like to give them zero's. Now in the hands of a third party to get this sorted and changing provider.

The worse move I ever made with household utilities. One month along, two Reuters, 12 phone calls, hours spent waiting for someone to answer-when they might do after 60 minutes- and still a very unreliable internet which keeps disconnecting. Cannot stream or listen to internet radio. I was with Sky for years and never had problems. Presently, still waiting for someone to answer me from the complaints department....

Truly awful customer service. Origin were very quick to bill me (taking payment a month before the service started), and then billed me for additional charges that I hadn't agreed to. They ignored repeated emails to their billing department to sort this out. Current download speed is only 100Kb/s. Again, they have ignored my email complaining about this from last week. I've been on hold for an hour now waiting for someone to pick up the phone...

DO NOT USE ORIGIN. DO NOT PAY UP FRONT. They do not even deserve one star, but I am forced to click on something. I don't even know if this review will load because speed is currently 81 Kbps. YES K!
No response to phone calls, they ignore e-mails. I have told them to improve withing ten days or I will change to a capable provider and sue them for the remainder of the contract. I expect to be suing quite soon and I hope that they don't go out of business before I enforce the debt.

I am now on hold for 45 minutes following emails to them. In common with all of the other comments the speed is shocking - I cannot work from home with how slow the connection is. Dropped from 3MB to less than 1 MB. No streaming possible... Truly awful and to be avoided - exactly what we did not want from a broadband supplier.

To all future users READ THE REVIEWS Customer Service is terrible hours will be spent listening to terrible music. You have no idea how long you will be on hold 30mins will be good! Have found a solution to this problem, if you press option 1 for sales the phone will be answered immediately ask for the salesman who took your order. If you can't get him ask for help from the sales staff, some will try to put you over to customer service - don't bother ring back again as some sales staff are very helpful others are not.I've been told their management are in a meeting to try and sort this out - taken long enough ! How ever the phone & broadband have been good. I left talk/talk as i was fed up with overseas call centers only to find out how hard it was to speak to a uk call centre. Hope the above is of help for others - it worked for me. Having spent a week on phone hold doing the above i resolved my admin questions in a couple of ticks.

My broadband package with them went live 1st March. The connection was flakey in the first couple of weeks. I was on leave from work so I wasn't that bothered and thought it would settle. However, I work from home quite a bit and after my annual leave, my VPN connection kept dropping out and I couldn't work. On demand tv usually lets you start watching after 30 seconds downloading, since moving to origin it's half an hour! Called them last weekend because I watch bike racing online. The first race of the season and I couldn't even load the page, never mind start the stream. Thought I'd check the speed on Speedtest.net and it couldn't even load that page. They had me unscrewing the faceplate on the wall data socket. The network guys in work said this is "busy work" to make it feel as though something is happening. Did a router reset which was annoying since I put my own password in it, so had to re-do all that again afterwards. Went through router settings and changed 2. Still the same, she tells me to try again all of a sudden and it was much better. Asked her if she did something her end, she said no. Trying to download on demand tv last night and there is no connection whatsoever. No Wi-Fi connection, no ethernet connection, thank goodness for 4g and smart phones. So mad. It came up again a couple of hours later, but it is only 6mb download speed, which it has been when it's been up since the start. With Sky it was 12mb+. Going to phone later today and see if they can get it working properly and then going to see about getting out of this contract. It's not fit for purpose so I don't know if they can hold you to a 12 month contract. I hope not, I'm not spending an hour every weekend on the phone to them.

What a mistake signing up a deal with this company. It's the worst broadband I ever had even dial up was better than this. Broadband speed up to 0mb per second because it usually cuts out especially at weekends. Nearly impossible to get through to the customer service

I'll start by saying I've had worse internet. This was however back in 1998 when I had dial up.
Since starting with Origin on the 10th of February I've had nothing but problems, my connection cutting out, speed plummeting to 0.03mbs download etc. Trying to get in contact with customer services or Technical support is next to impossible and they do not live up to promises of call backs.
I'm giving them the required 8 weeks to resolve my issues and then I will be leaving and telling everyone I know to steer clear of this company. AVOID.

You lucky people, after 4 months I still have no broadband and after taking Close to £150 from my account I was told that I would have to wait for 7 to 10 days for my refund, . The quickest answer on the phone was 15 minutes ( longest 46 ) in total about 4 hours only to be repeatedly lied to. Anyway 2 weeks later I'm obviously still phoning and waiting and phoning and waiting , so I'm amused at you lot of moaners ,

1. I tried to cancel my account 5 times during a week. The first time their agent refused to let me cancel it, and tried to tell me that I needed to stay till the end of my contract while I was offering to pay the entire fee until the end of the contract in one go.
When she finally agreed, she told me she would come back to me the next day - she was just going to find the "cheapest way out for me".
2. She didn't contact me the next day, so I called them once again. After waiting for 35 minutes to talk to their agent about canceling, he hang up on me.
3. I called again the next day and spoke to someone in their team who promised to log my calls and ask the cancellation team to call me up instead of the other way around. After all, I had spent nearly 2 hours in phones with their agents at this point.
4. Nobody called me on the two following days. The following day I called twice. Both agents hang up on me. It is true, I was rude, but it wasn't uncalled for. The last agent, claimed that I could not cancel because "I had asked about the price", which I absolutely had not. I wanted to cancel no strings attached. When I asked the agent to write my side of the story into my records, she hang up. Similar to what all their agents done.
Outcome thus far: 3 hangups, 2 no callbacks.
At that point, I was tired of chasing them. I removed their direct debit rights and I intend to charge them 500 (hourly rate of 200, so far spent 2.5 hours with them) for this. Once they come to terms on how to handle their stuff, they can subtract the remainder of my contract from the fee I am asking them to pay and send me the rest. Until then I will collect interest on the sum.

If I could give NO STARS i would...i have signed with them on the 15th of March 2017..I regret it ! I have been on the phone forever and no one answers. Ashleigh Donkin who said she will call back the day after, never heard from her again. Sent so many emails no one bothers to do anything...12 days passed and no router, no internet...This company is FRAUD...Take the money and never do anything...I wish i did nto sign with them...trying to call now again to ask for a refund..they do it on purpose as they know you have 14 days to cancel if you are not satisfied, but after so many complaints ands written requests, the contract can be void as they are in beach of the Customer Consumer Act. Awful people... please DO NOT SIGN ANYTHINGWITH THEM

I've been without internet for nearly a week now. Customer services are friendly when you get through, but no-one seems to be able to provide me an answer as to why my phone line suddenly disappeared. Something about BT OpenReach? But at the end of the day I'm paying for broadband that they're not providing, and when it did work I noticed a significant drop in speed. I used to be with TalkTalk and despite their bad reviews, never really had a problem with them. I switched to Origin to save money, but I wish I'd spent a few pounds more a month for a better service with someone else. Would not recommend.
