Broadband speed to building is 8mb but numerous tests show router only provides 2mb max. Shocking performance, constantly crashing.

Terrible service.
2 months i have been with them and had Open reach engineers out 5 times and still waiting for them the 6th time. The routers they send are next to useless, they drop out constantly. Ive not gone 2 days without having to ring them about my speed. 1 Meg is pretty much all i get even tho i pay for 7 plus plus. Just received a bill for 2 months even tho they said they was crediting my account. Rang them and they said because ive had some service (1 day every week i can use the internet) i have to pay for the service. I tried to cancel as they are not providing me any service and they said they was going to charge me a big cancellation fee. Disgusting service do not use and avoid at all costs.

Excellent customer service, best I’ve ever experienced. Services are very cheap & reduced further with a cashback card. Far superior Compared to my previous preoviders...... Sky, O2 & talk talk. Recommended

Broadband speed consistently above 70 Mbps. Upload 19 Mbps. Even better than the average values quoted by Utility Warehouse. Absolutely brilliant customer service - fast, polite and helpful. Utility warehouse quickly refunded nearly £200 in early termination fees for broadband (BT) and mobile (EE). No wonder they came top in the Which survey!

Terrible internet from the beginning, even though we were meant to be in a high-connection area. Received a £700+ bill after leaving because they couldn't accurately estimate consumption. That bill covered 18 months of inaccurate billing. To understand the scale of miscalculation, the average electricity bill in the UK is around £600 per annum for a big house (lived in a flat). Customer service lines always understaffed. Avoid like plague.

Bloody rubbish. Slow speed, drops out, customer service is a joke as no one seems to know their arse from their elbow. Stuck in an 18 month contract unless I pay an extortionate exit fee. Avoid at all costs!

I have been a Utility Warehouse customer for over two years, during that time, I have had many problems with my broadband and phoneline.
Recently, I experienced constant internent drop outs, and phoneline interference, for a period of 3 months. I was constantly told by Utility Warehouse technical support, it was a problem with the internal wiring in the house, as the tests they did on my line were all OK. Eventually, I lost connection of phone and internet completely. I arranged for a BT engineer to investigate, Utility Warehouse would not do this.
The BT engineer came and found two faults on the outside cable leading directly to the house, and detected further problems between that cable and the exchange, which he could not fix. A second BT engineer arrived days later, and in his words, found multiple problems with the connection to the exchange. The BT engineer found no problems on the internal wiring of the house. I was completely without connection and phoneline for a week and a half, I have still not received compensation or refund for the loss of service over two months later.
There was still a problem with the broadband dropping out, this was eventually diagnosed as a faulty router. This was replaced by Utility Warehouse as an exchange unit. The postage of the old unit back to them was paid by me, this was supposed to be refunded, this also still hasn't happened.
For two months, connection was OK, though some internet dropouts were still happening.
Now, just over two months later, I am experiencing the same problems once more, consistent internet dropouts and phoneline noise.
My advice, stear clear of Utility Warehouse broadband service, they are without doubt, the worst internet provider I have experienced, with extremely poor technical support. I am investigating changing to another provider ASAP.

I have been a Utility Warehouse customer for 9 months now. Since day one I have not been able to use my broadband without it keep dropping out every few minutes. I have contacted them to be told that the router that they use is not as good as the BT one I had before, I need to pay a £40 fee to get a better one and this would have to be another 18 month contract. I did this and the new router made no difference so I sent it back within the 14 days.I have now decided to leaved then and have been told that I need to pay £216. So not only am I paying for the worst service that I have ever had but they are going to extort money from me if I leave. There broad band is worst broadband provider I have ever been unfortunate enough to use.
DO NOT TAKE THERE BROADBAND, IT IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

Absolutely terrible! Words cannot describe the awfulness of this broadband. I am unwilling to play xbox with my friends because the router that was recommended does not give half of the percentages I need to play. All of my friends pay exactly the same for their broadband and they never have problems wether their is 1 or 12 in the house all using wifi. Myself on the other hand, can't play if there is 2-3 people using the broadband. The only time the wifi ever works or even satisfies is when I'm home alone. I can't even watch youtube without my video bufferning for 10 miniutes or so. We've tried fitting ethenet cables from the router to the xbox, which is a very well known way of dealing with poor connection, yet it makes absolutely no difference. I would not recommend this terrible broadband to anyone because it will vener give what other broadbands give. I would recommend any other broadband apart from this one. I will change broadbands ASAP with no hesitation. Terrbible experience with Utility Warehouse broadband.

Been there customer as home user for couple of years. I've just rang them to ask to move my services from old address to the new address, been told about £30 connection charges, £20 moving charges and new contract for 18 months - this is non acceptable ! - would accept £30 and keep current contract, when asked to cancel all the services (landline & broadband) been told about £180 cancellation fee - this is just ridiculous, this is how they rob their customers

I have been with Utility Warehouse for almost 2 years now and have all the services with them since the first day. Despite giving 2-3 meter readings a month they still estimate in every bill. I called them to ask for a smart meter and they sent me a so called company which came, looked around for a few minutes and then they said they don't have the proper tools for the installation...this was booked with 2 weeks in advance so they could have brought everything. I should have charged them a fee for making me take half day off from work cause they charge you a £50 fee if you make them come for nothing right?
At the beggining I bought 2 samsung s7 and did this over the phone, gold and black, when I picked the package only the gold one was in the box. I called them and they said like nothing happened yes because you only been with us for 3 months you can only take one as for the second one you will have to pay a deposit...when I made the contract over the phone we did it for 2 devices 2 monthly tarrifs and they haven't said anything about the deposit...
The serious problem started after 3-4 months with the internet. I have tried everything with customer service, changing the router trying different settings and the internet was very very slow not even 1mb. Within the last few months is just not working for good hours despite resets to the router and while at home I need to stay on data mobile.
I have sent them an ultimatum email at the end of march and I've been contacted yesterday(28 april) by somebody which she didn't even read my email and what was the reason of me leaving them and she asked me if I want to have more data on mobile:). I explained again what is the problem and she offered me to upgrade to ultra broadband for a few pounds more a month and I said yes whatever but then she said I will start a new contract for 18 months:) really? For what? The service? What service? Switching something from the computer??? No way...So I am accepting to stay with them I also accept to pay more and they want a new contract???? Yes I am happy to pay the mobiles contracts as they gave me a device of £600 but not for internet...
I am sorry but this is my opinion and I really can't wait to change them and be done!
There are more things to complain about but I spent already too much form my data mobile (wifi is still not working) for them. I do this mostly for the people who are looking to see the opinions anyway.

We joined Utility Warehouse in March 2017
Utility Warehouse initially promised us when we switched that we would be connected for broadband service without interruption but we waited to be connected for over a week.
The mobile service that they provided us with does not work in our house or even outside nearby. Their router is of poor quality.
Recently for over a month we could not use our fix phone line or have an internet connexion.
Their technical services, although very polite, during this period fed us with lies, confirmed appointments to fix the problem when no one turned up and so did their local agent (representative) about what was taking so long to fix the problem.
During this month of breakdown of telephone and broadband services we wrote 3 times by means of recorded letter to their Executive Chairman in order to try to extract a date for the reconnection of our service. Our letters remain unanswered to date and no apologies have been forthcoming.
I would recommend strongly to anyone considering switching to Utility Warehouse to abstain.

I had a full package from Utility Warehouse (UW) including broadband, electricity gas and broadband. I really battled with them to get even close to my purchased speed option. When I cancelled they even had the nerve to ask for their router back, even though I never had one in the first place. Went to Sky and got exactly what I paid for. Cancelled all of the services in the end. Their customer service will set their dogs on to you for money that you do not owe due to their mistakes and do not even apologise when it was shown I was in credit. Use someone else!!!!

I have been with Utility Warehouse since 2011,i thought they were good in the first 4 years but the last 2 years they have been rubbish,my monthly bills would average around £26 for homephone and broadband then they went up to £32 and on one month they hit £52 I am only a moderate user and I have long waits to get through on phone and they keep changing there contact phone number,so I e'mailed them and it takes them over a week to reply,i was put on a cheaper line rental and they gave me credit on my next bill proving they had overcharged me,check out this company, they have a lavish state of the art office in London, they regularly treat there staff to lavish parties and give fancy cars away in incentives to staff to enrol sucker customers like me,AVOID,they will drain your bank account, there rip off merchants.

they lie by omission. I had problems with talk talk so I left them within the cooling off period. I signed up with Utility warehouse and nowhere did they mention that they in fact simply resold talktalk packages. I'm still with talktalk!!!!
I am furious. This is mis-selling and I am about to take this further legally.

Awful internet in terms of speed and reliability, I've had it since Tuesday and at least twice a day it will drop out and say to check the router - despite the router saying the internet is connected. Half the time it can't even load basic gif pictures. Dial up Internet from the 90's/early 00's is faster and better than this. (Not spoken to customer service which is why I ranked it as average). Avoid at all costs

Worst broadband provider I have ever been with. Constant lag when streaming, picture quality poor when streaming unreliable source of service to depend on especially if you rely on internet. EVEN WORSE FOR GAMING. When I was with sky a a 2.33 GB download would take between 5-10 minutes sometimes less than that. I'm now looking at a 2-3 hour time period for that same download. With an average download speed of 4.096 KB per second although that is constantly altering. If i wanted to do and update for anything above 20 GB I'm looking at a 2-3 day wait which is completely unacceptable. I left for a cheaper deal and thought that they might be some differences in downloading speed but didn't think it would be this bad. Also the deal hasn't turned out to be cheaper at all if anything I'm paying more for a worse service. When speaking to the customer service team they blamed it on the area that I lived in. DON'T BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS, if you are thinking it's to good to be true you are 1000% right. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE, don't let it be yours.

We move from BT to Utility Warehouse and we couldn't be happier. Moving from BT's constant rebooting till I suffered repetitive strain injury on my finger.... to UW where I have never, not once, had to reboot. The supply is constant and true. The best broadband decision we've made. FANTASTIC.

We are not in s great area for any provider but having talked to neighbours our speed wth UW is lowest. More frustrating is that it is so unreliable. I often work through the night and it seems as if it just goes off completely in the early hours - as if UW throw a switch and shut it down!
Spent a couple of hours on phone with engineers in early days and if would improve for a while. Got ripped off for new Router that made no difference at all.
Stayed them initially because of reduced rates in energy but they are not comparable with many good deals out there and I am in process of switching / wish I had done it a year ago.
Could not recommend them.

Since we have switched the problems have been getting worse and worse. Constant crackle on the phone line which in turn stops the broadband from working. With numerous uncountable calls to tech support and still the problem exists. I wish we had never swapped provider, we are paying good money for old rope and if things dont change rapidly I will stop contract due to the lack of failing to provide even the basic of service.

if you switch to this company you will regret. I was with Virgin media and now the reception is very very poor with Utility Warehouse, and bear in my mind the router is conected to a phone line and you definitely won't have the same performance as a Virgin. Do not get iluded!

Since I have Signed to Utility Warehouse, the Broadand internet has been near enough useless. I never had any problems with Sky and wish I hadn't left them. Utility Warehouse staff try and help but it turns out they gave you a useless router when you first sign up, and you need to upgrade it for a better one for a further £50.00 at your own cost. Fibreoptic is not available in our area.
