    Talk talk is TERRIBLE if there was a 0 star rating I would have given it that it disconnects CONSTANTLY and for long periods of time and is extremely unreliable always saying ‘internet connection failed’ when we are connected it

    I have never had such a bad customer service the worst I could get I'm paying 7.50 extra a month for insurance my screen is freezing and this is going on for 2 months

    Their chat cuts you off constantly, they never resolve anything and transfer you and ask for your details and reason for contacting them over and over again

    Avoid talktalk, customer service is terrible. I've just moved to Swish and they called me within 10 minutes of sending an email. Talktalk dont contact you with the 48 hours they say they will.

    The customer service is awful. The online chat does not help at all. If you have a simple question, it will take at least a 30-minute call to get some unclear answer. I'm really frustrated with them.

    I would give it 0 stars if I could. Talktalk broadband is appalling! I was with EE before and had great broadband with them, only cut out once in 3 years and that was due to a very bad storm we had. However I was paying nearly £50 a month with them so thought I would go on the comparison sites and see if I could save myself some money and Talktalk had a good sign up deal on so I went for it. Boy I wish I hadn't. I've gone from having internet that cut out once in 3 years to internet that cuts out every darn day of the week no matter what the weather is like. Multiple times a day too, and don't even bother trying to play games online with your friends because the game will just lag constantly. Even hooking the gaming laptop via the ethernet cable doesn't make it any better. Also don't bother with customer service as they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I have had numerous duels with their call handlers regarding what they are going to do about it but all they suggest every time is to send me a new router when I have explained to them that the router is not the issue. They will say one thing and do another too, one of them told me one day that as I was having problems they would send me out a new router and if I try it out and it does not sort the issues they would allow me to terminate my contract with them without having to pay the early termination fee, and said they would put a note on my account with this information so whoever deals with me next will know the situation. So I did that and the new router made zero difference and I rang them up again to set about terminating my contract so I could switch back to EE and they said there was no note left on the account about this and basically made me out to be a liar. They are absolutely disgusting avoid like the plague.

    I have been on the phone for over an hour trying to talk to someone about an issue and have now been transferred 5 times between duffearnt teams 3 times back to the same team! They don't have a clue what they are doing and should not be a broadband provider absolute scammers!

    For for nearly 3 years iv been with talk talk my Wi-Fi never worked to the point I was calling them constantly they will have all the calls recorded too to prove I’m not lying! I made ALOT OF CALLS! Their system is **** my Wi-Fi still would never work It would work like 1-2 days in the week it was a technical issue from their side! I then got to the point where I said I’m going to leave as I’m paying for Wi-Fi iv not been receiving it’s unfair not once did they offer to refund or anything they still didn’t fix the issue so I left (giving that I had given them so many warnings!) IV NOW BEEN FINED £258 FOR LEAVING THEM LIKE WTAF I would love to get my money back from all the years I was paying for Wi-Fi I wasn’t receiving!

    My guaranteed speed is 12mbph ,the highest speed I have received is 3 Mbhp . Engineers have remotely checked, they then sent out a openreach's engineer who changed the phone socket and checked line connections all that done its no better, trying to get to talk to a human is like getting a doctor's appointment. One unhappy customer.

    Very poor service. Just spent 1hour and 45 mins on phone only to be told hang up and we will ring you back. No call! Since May 2023 we have been waiting for an Engineer. We have been told each.month since (wenare now end of July 2023) our bill will be reduced (no it hasn't) we shall now start procedure to claim compensation re new contact being delayed (not our fault).

    This was the worst experience I have had with any company in my lifetime. (I'm 50).
    My router hadn't arrived. When I enquired where, the call operators were so rude I told them not to send the router and to cancel the order.
    Then:
    Spent over four hours on the phone and website during the 7 calls i made that day.
    I had the call dropped on 3 calls after staff claiming they don't know what to do.
    I was lied to by operators saying they couldn't cancel my order please I failed security.
    I was lied to again when they claimed they couldn't cancel it because I could not provide my talktalk home number even after I told them my package was not allowed a home number. (I know)
    All I could do was cancel my DD. Guess what? They re-instated it. I had to call the bank and sort that. Then I recieve an email saying my router is on its way......
    So... do you still think talktalk is a good idea.
    Apologies for writing a similar review previously but am writing this one the Trading standards Gov dep.
    You see an app on my device record all calls automatically and I think they will take a very, very dim very upon Talktalk.co.uk's operative tactics and behaviour.

    Talk talk's customer service is inadequate.

    Chat service - the first time i used this facility we were cut off after 40mins and no one phoned back. Situation unresolved.

    Eventually, completed another chat only to receive an email confirming something not agreed.

    Using number in email i phoned immediately.

    I explained situation and got told i'd phoned the wrong number. I was transferred and cut off!

    I phoned again and exactly the same thing happened.

    On the third call i was transferred to someone who could help me.

    In total i have spent 3 hours of my life and spent £148 to cancel an account because my elderly parent has moved into a home.

    No at all happy with Talk Talk. Ongoing issues with broadband dropping out and speeds just above 1mbps which they seem to think is acceptable. There is clearly a problem with the connection as it's even worse when raining or windy. Couldn't get to speak to anyone on person, just online chat only. She was just going round in circles asking me the same questions over and over again. She finally ended the conversation her end after I asked for an engineer to be sent out to check why the line keeps going down. No wonder Talk talk customers are leaving on mass, I shall not be far behind them.

    Where do I start with this review. It has to be as long as it is because there has been SO many issues with this company, just looking and seeing the words Talktalk fill me with dread and anxiety. I have asked them to ban me from their services so if I ever lose my marbles or forget what myself and partner have been through we don’t accidently try to sign up years down the line.

    So we had Talktalk at our old address, my girlfriend lived their first and it was in her name, initially I had no issues setting up here internet there. Easy as 1,2,3 guy came out, signed up for it online, no issues with internet, would of stayed with them for decades if what was to come never happened.

    So I move in with her after we get married, at this point she has had Talktalk for around 4 years, no issues, good internet, fast and reliable. Please do not get me wrong I am a very patient man and incompetence is rampant in 2023 so I expect some teething issues, but what I experienced left me literally insane.

    So I try to switch to new address online, nope sorry online system cant do that (no reason why just can’t) so I try live chat, nope can’t do that. I hate doing things on the phone because it always devolves into a he said/she said type of argument down the line. Anyway I ask the lady to switch to my new address. She repeats what I say and what I want word for word, seems very competent sets me up a new account in my name for our new address and closes the account for my wife.
    Only issue with the call I would say is it took ages because they have to transfer me to 100 different departments no matter who you call will have to transfer you multiple times.
    No problem right? Well I check the email shortly after of the confirmation and I see a completely different address than the one I gave her, somewhere near to my address but I have never been there or even seen its name, so I cant of given it wrong.
    Luckily during our chat I remember that we got disconnected at one point and she rang me back, so I ring this number and get straight to same lady. She says she must of clicked the wrong address on the system and that she will ring me back tomorrow, no issue.
    Guess what, no call and then I get on the text, live chat, phone calls to get it sorted. I get assured that my address is changed and that I will get an email. I constantly get transferred I have issues verifying myself because obviously I have the wrong address on the system. Everytime I either get hung up on, disconnected or pass through dozens of departments because apparently no one there has the authority to do anything.
    So No email comes after being basically told I’m pestering them and that I should 100% be sure that its sorted. Guess what, no email comes, no confirmation. Still cant log on to my account (like all the emails say I can) because the address is incorrect and I don’t have all the details of the incorrect address.
    Eventually my GO-LIVE date comes, no text, no email, no modem. I get in contact with them again, hours of swapping departments, issues etc.
    Oh sorry btw we have delayed your modem because we are busy. At this point I ask to cancel, so I get told to ring up, so I ring up (all my calls are recorded automatically too so I have proof of all of these events) and tells me that I am cancelled now and that my services are over.
    At one point I got told by the live chat person to ring the cancellation line and apologising for their incompetence, she told me they are closed at 8. So I ring up as she has given me the number at 7, guess what? Sorry we are closed. This is the kind of incompetence I am talking about.
    So knowing full well that all these people just tell me sweet little lies I message/text and live chat to see if it is a couple of days later, no SIR your services are still active. So after going insane I managed to contact them a dozen more times until I get written confirmation in the live chat that its cancelled.
    I literally had to get some extra medication from my mental health dealing with this, as I must have spent a full working week dealing with this incompetence.
    So after it is cancelled I get a text about a week later from an engineer asking if he can pop over to install the TalkTalk, I text him no I cancelled it weeks ago, no response from him after that. Then a modem pops up. (I’m currently on live chat as I type this just trying to get them to send me a returns bag to return it and being switched through 100 departments to be told to ring up) I’m sure I’ll still get charged for it to because they can’t do anything right.

    So finally I think the nightmare is over, I turn up at my old address to pick up some mail and there is a Talktalk box there with my wife’s name on it? So they sent her a TalkTalk modem after she cancelled her services. Good thing I found it otherwise I’m sure they would send debt collectors after us and charge us £50 and damage our credit because cancelling a service to TalkTalk means send us a new modem too.

    Honestly I think I could work for TalkTalk now and know all their staff by name, I must of put in 40 hours in the couple of weeks before I started this service, I’ll surely probably be receiving modems for the rest of my life so I can start my own broadband company, I only have 3 to return right now.
    So no I will never be signing up with them again or recommending them, they offered me £40 off my bill and £100 in amazon vouchers to let them sort it out, I laughed, like ill ever get them and the issue will just sort itself out, no chance. I would not sign up to them again if they PAID me monthly to have it.

    If you have severe health problems like myself and get ill from stress, DO NOT GO WITH TALKTALK, I would of stayed with them for decades if it wasn’t for sales messing it up starting the ball of issues spinning.
    P.s Forgot to say at one point a lady on the live chat said she would get the complaints department to call me to sort out the issue, I got an email saying they would be in contact, that was over a week ago lol. Won’t hold my breath.

    TalkTalk is a complete disaster of an internet service provider. Their customer service is a nightmare, their internet speed is abysmal, and their relentless pursuit of your money is infuriating. Save yourself the headache and choose literally any other provider. TalkTalk will only bring you frustration and disappointment.

    Worse service ever. Please please don’t waste ur time or money going to talk talk. Been with them about 4 months and half of that I haven’t had a connection. Been self employed I have lost so much money. Please avoid at all cost. I will be sharing this to all my social media’s and reporting to ofcom also. Shocking service. Shocking company all round.

    Never in my life have I been do un happy with a service. Not worked in 5 months and still charging me for it. Try to cancel hundreds of times get put through to technical department then phone gets put on hold for over 30 minutes. Talk talk are thieves take money for a service there unable to provide... shocking do not use this service...

    Bullies every time a contract comes up for renewal service drops, Don’t contact their customer service they will swear black is white you renewed even though you know you didn’t . They do this at every renewal . This companies practices need looking into.

    Worst wifi you could imagine. For someone who plays online games a lot, TalkTalk id atrocious, the wifi disconnects at least 9 times a day, I get maximum 15mb of data when I’m paying for 80+mb. I’ve tried talking with TalkTalk but to no avail, they continue with stupid solutions such as disconnect devices that aren’t even using the wifi. their chat operators can barely string together a single English sentence.

    Hi team,

    I am not sure why I am still being charged in April, May, June, when I closed my account in 27/03/2023.

    I called 2 times the customer service today 10 july 2023 spending around 30 min on the phone... and I was told I would be called IMMEDIATELY which it did not happen within 2 hours...and still no call..; and during the second call - I was told, I need support from my advisor to give you a call back, and then suddenly he said "the first advisor failed your security questions hence they wanted to call you back"; funny this - as I was not told initially this. However...at that moment I lost the patience. Both customer advisors were USELESS, as they would not communicate - and I passed through 4 LAYERS of security ( phone number, mail, password characters and bank account number). Completely disgusted by the service!

    One of the worst Company ever.
    Talk Talk has provided internet to my house for 2 years. It was Ok - enough I wanted to ask about Fibre option 30 days before my original contracts ends. All good - they have scheduled an engineer (TalkTalk Fibre 150 Data date of order 06/03/2023) and he should arrive 20/04/2023 to install Fibre Broadband. Guess what - no one show up, when I contacted Talk Talk they have blamed some system order and ask for 7 day so they can investigate. obviously- on one even bother to contact me. Because my previous contract ended (only monthly rolling left) I have asked for cancelation. 3h of online chat - asking me what size sis my shoes, pant, what's my name, number email god knows what else - no luck - they will not cancel it. I have sent written cancellation (14 April 2023), paid extra month but they still don't want to accept me leaving. What's more - they are sending me treating letters demanding money for service I have resigned and not use. I have asked them to not harass me - they don't care. It looks like I will ask Solicitor to deal with this. Luckily I have all the paper work plus correspondence with talk talk, nice mess in this company

    I arranged full fibre with BT via a switching site and went live 4/7/23. The Talktalk fttc and phone were disconnected on that date by Openreach. I expected BT and Talktalk to agree that date of handover and expected no charges from Talktalk from 4/7/23 under the code of practice / switching arrangements.
    I checked in with Talktalk to ensure the cancellation of service had gone through and charges were not billed. This hadn’t happened. In short they want a further 30 days of charges despite knowing I’m Out of contract, disconnected with no phone line or broadband from them. Isn’t that fraud? Taking money for nothing. To add insult to injury if I don’t agree to pay for 30 days they won’t cancel a non existent service and would bill me indefinitely. Isn’t that gross fraud and corrupt and intimidation? Also if you cancel the direct debit they charge you extra and /or according to other posts are known to send bills to you. They are a disgrace and money grabbing, trying to ring out all they can from new and old customers.

    1 stars is too many, our broadband went down and it took TalkTalk 15 days to send an engineer round. No internet for all that time, when we work from home. Spent ages on the phone to TT, who were actively unhelpful, making promises they failed to keep. Told us they would call back (lie) told us they would not charge us for the days with no service (lie). Put up huge barriers when trying to cancel our contract with them despite being out of contract period. This company has no interest in providing a service and just wants to rinse its customers for as much money as possible. Please avoid.

    Most of the days, after 12 AM in the night, there won't be any internet connection. When I want to see a movie in the night after a hectic day it is not possible. And they don't even have a 24*7 customer care to report the issue. With paying around 29 GBP a month (which is relatively high compared to other networks) this is the experience I am getting. I have been using Plusnet for sometime. And I think it was much better than this one. I never experienced any connection issues.

    The broadband has been fine for some years.We don't use the phone only to receive calls as the cost calling out is something comparable to a small gold coin per minute. My gripe is with the customer service....it has to be the worst experience...end of contract is a nightmare...I dread engaging with them... You haven't any idea what country you'll get hold of...will you understand them...will they understand you. Lost in translation was the film...and lost you will be with TT. If you raise a complaint you might get someone from GB calling...but not guaranteed... Service needs to seriously improve or the day will come when the camel will have it's final straw loaded and TT and me will part ways.

    Cancelled my account today but it should have already been closed paid the £26 fee for 30 day notice told now have to pay another month.kept getting harassed to take other options other providers all I wanted was conformation my account is closed AVOIDthem like the plague

    Never have I ever come across such appalling customer service in my life. I am over 70 and feel due to my age Talk Talk took advantage of this. If my daughter and son-in-law had not stepped in they were trying to bill me £186 when I was no longer with them and had not received any service from them for some time. An absolute disgrace

    Utterly woeful service.

    For the past 4 months their WiFi goes off around 6 times a day.

    Nobody is interested in trying to resolve the issue.

    3 engineer visits have been arranged yet no sign of them - causing us to wait in for 4 hours at a time.

    Promised calls are not made.

    Ridiculous suggestions have been made for the reason for the outage, such as my Apple Watch - despite it being 200 miles away.

    We’re consistently unable to watch streaming channels, and both my children’s exam revision has been significantly disrupted, along with a negative impact on my ability to work at home.

    Undoubtedly the worst consumer experience of my life.

    Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting time chasing them to fix problems

    Do not go with these shower of ****. after waiting for a month for installation they email the day before to cancel my order . After being pushed from pillar to post nobody could deal with my issue and said I need to set up another order. Spending another 2 hrs on the phone after the previous 4hrs and another 2 week wait. Yes another email cancelling my order and again in the phone with no help- DO NOT use this provider - a complete waste of time

    When my contract ended with talk talk they owed me money so instead of paying this back into my bank account they credited it back to my phone account which was now closed!!!!
    After spending an hour on the phone they said they would refund the money back to my bank and advised it would take 5-7 days. When I asked the Question why
    Credit the money to a closed account and not just refund it to my bank they said it was company policy. Think about all the money talk talk are making when they do this and customers don’t phone up!!!
    So 7 days passed and still no refund so another hour on the phone only to be told it’s because of the bank holiday.
    The money should have been refunded to my account on the 27th May it’s now the 7th June and I have phoned every day spending over an hour on the phone each time and talk talk giving me every excuse in the book. I even demanded to speak to a manager which I did after waiting 2 hours on the phone. The manager said he would sort this out for me and call me back the next day which was 4 days ago!!. I get a Text most days telling me that someone will call me between 12 - 2 but no one phones what great customer service!!
    Late on Thursday evening 8th June a manager Phoned to say the call was being closed as their system was as saying it had been paid!!
    As I explained again it hadn’t and they had to investigate where this money had gone to be told that I had to contact my bank to investigate. As I pointed out that wouldn’t achieve anything because if they hadn’t had the money then there was nothing to investigate. I was then asked to send a bank statement from the 20th May to the 7th June to prove it wasn’t there. This is not something that I would normally do as this is private banking information to me but to get this sorted I would have done anything as it is now a matter of principle.
    I sent this off to them and then received a phone call on Friday from the complaints department to go through the whole thing again. She advised that yes she could see it had been paid somewhere but not to my account HALLELUJAH FINALY someone agreed with me. The call ended with the lady saying I would have a call back which I explained was no good as I am out of the country for the next two week so could they please email me. I am not holding my breath and expect to be back on the phone in two weeks but we will see
    I will never go with talk talk again
    No one understands or knows what they are doing.
    They are all robots reading from a script and no one can think outside the box.
    Customer service it’s a joke and it’s a disgrace.

    My mother was paying an excessive amount for her service; of which she used only her phone. Suffering from Alzheimers, deafness and minimal technical understanding, she asked for the service to be discontinued. We then received the typical - we're sorry to lose you - e-mails followed by bills for future months of service - despite her contract having ended and her having confirmed she didn't want the service anymore.
    All services have been satisfactorily suspended but she is still getting demands for payment months after she cancelled. It's terrifying her. There is no way to speak to Talk Talk (seems a bit contradictory) as the account details are no longer accepted (it's been cancelled); the 'chat' on the online web-page doesn't work and all the e-mails sent to her are 'no-reply.' So there is no way to inform them of their mistake; meanwhile my 84 year old mother with Altzhiemers who struggles with most things, has this added 'terror' to deal with.
    Appalling and inhumane.

    Just taken me over half an hour and passed around by three people to cancel a new contract that hasn't even started yet and they couldn't find me! Signed up by door canvassers, phone lines awful can't hear advisors so repeating everything. Glad I cancelled before I started.

    Absolute rubbish service. never had I had to deal with people who don't want to help you let alone understand your requests.
    Cancelled contract but still they take money from my account. to get it back is almost impossible. Thank goodness I have left them. I value my sanity!!!

    I'd been with talktalk for over 10 years with broadband and telephone but with the price rises I looked for a new deal, I searched and found sky offered me a better deal, I thought the transfer over would be smooth and easy but talktalk have made the experience terrible the customer service was rude not very helpful at all, I told them I was cancelling my contract but they still sent me new equipment, I rang again but no one had processed my cancellation they were once again very difficult, I told them the date 12/06/23 that I would be changing over and was told I'd still have internet till then then suddenly they cut me off on 31st May 23, I rang talktalk customer services up asking why I'd been cut off so soon and they told me I was now out of contract and the only way they'd connect me back up was to take out a new contract with them, well I told them that was not possible as changing to new supplier which they knew. It just shows they have no loyalty to loyal customers , I found the customer service was in fact the worst experience I've ever had difficult unhelpful , felt like I was being held to ransom to stay with them threatening me with fines telling me not to cancel my direct debit even thou they just cut me off. All I can say while your with talktalk they are happy but once you say your leaving they are rude unhelpful and bombard you with mail

    TalkTalk absolutely shambles, download speed is slow, keeps getting disconnected every so often so I have to wait it connects up again, can't use 2 or more devices at the same time without complications, I would never go back to TalkTalk again, I advise everyone not to aswel, what a waste of money.
