I wish I didn’t go to Sky. Their service is awful. They said they’d send an engineer between 12-5pm today. We had to cancel a long awaited medical appointment, and they also said he’d phone before he came and he didn’t turn up!!! This service is pathetic!

Worst internet ever. Stuck with them for 6 years before finally switching (it's like Stockholm's Syndrome). The broadband drops out regularly, at least once a month. When it does lose connection, it takes hours (sometimes up to three days) to work again.

They provide you with no updates regarding how long it will take to fix. Their website has a section for checking your broadband status but it sends you in circles (usually ending with a page telling you that the connection is fine!)

"Self heal" does sometimes work, but very rarely. The self heal is also full of patronising, unnecessary steps (I don't need to check the ethernet cables, just fix my effing connection!)

Here's hoping BT will be better

absolutely disgusted by the customee servuce provided by sky. My internet and sky has not been working for the last five weeks someone was meant to come and visit to resolve the problem and till date no one has been. Then they expect mw to pay my bill for the services I haven't had. I am absolutely shocked to say how awful sky has been after been with sky for many many years absolutely disappointed and disgusted the way I have been treated. Calling sky for days and no one is able to speak as there is no one who would speak due to my bill not been paid I refusw to pay sky for the services I have not been provided with.

If you have an elderly or vulnerable friend or family member who subscribe to SKY Broadband, phone or TV, please read the following, and check their subscription costs, as SKY have totally abused an 83-year-old lady with high pressure selling to engorge their profits.

Facts about SKY telesales team, they cold-called her and sold her the following:

    • Superfast fibre broadband, when she has no smart phone, laptop or any internet device.
    • An expensive bouquet of extra TV channels when she only watches terrestrial Freeview TV.
    • A SKY Q box when she only has a 720 resolution TV: Total Package £77 per month

    More facts about SKY:

    • They charge twice as much as their own subsidiary, NOW TV, for the same service.
    • When you try to leave, they lie, saying you cannot keep your phone number.
    • They offer better deals to complete strangers on U-Switch than they do to loyal customers.
    • They refuse to answer letters.
    • They will not provide copy invoices, or even their own address for serving legal papers.
    • They have no policy to protect the elderly or vulnerable.

My advice would be to avoid this company, they are about as relevant as Blockbuster, and have no moral compass when it comes to exploiting the vulnerable.

Honestly terrible service and avoid at all costs. Customer services completely messed up my account and specifically told me to give my personal details to another person who was accidentally linked to the account by sky. Utterly useless and rude customer services.

awful wifi, we have the best plan available for it yet it is incredibly unreliable, constantly dropping and having high ping spikes all the time, along with it not being fast in the first place with a download of around 29 mbps its completely not worth it.

The worst experience ever. Broadband stopped working and nobody at Sky seems to care. There’s no way to escalate it to a manager even after 2 weeks. They keep changing appointments, then when they come they say it’s someone else’s fault like openreach, who come back and say it’s definitely a sky fault. Nobody calls when they say they will. They don’t seem to keep notes on calls that have taken place, and you spend hours on hold trying to get through to them. Even the sky help staff say it’s not good enough but there’s nothing they can do. Stay away, anyone would be better than sky!

Having been with other companies before, Sky is a massive massive let down. The broadband was very unreliable and it would always have issues at night and during peak hours. As someone who works from home, during almost every call the internet would cut out or the speed would drop massively. I feel so disappointed with the service and am so glad I am moving so that I can never use this horrible company ever again.

So unsurprisingly the Sky WiFi guarantee (minimum 3mbps whole home) is worthless. I was persuaded to switch from a fully functional BT Whole Home system (router and 2 x mesh extenders) that worked perfectly to Sky's rubbish. Just got off the phone to a very unhelpful lady who ran me round the houses, raised my blood pressure and got me nowhere. The router works fine, my BB speeds and stability are fine, the WiFi is awful. Don't tuch Sky with a bargepole.

We have the misfortune to have sky TV,broadband and talk, whilst the TV and broadband are acceptable the phone line and service to get it working are deplorable nearly 2-3 hours waiting on a sunny Sunday for someone to inform us on how they will rectify this issue, on our experience we cannot recommend sky and now and after being pushed between pillar and post realise we made a mistake in not going with virgin media hopefully someone at sky will read this and get there ass in gear

Absolutely Rubbish, continuous dropping of dsl connection. check to see if we could have fiber optic they said where we are, they are unable to provide it. We we're in London by way.

A lot of times it stops working completely, we sometimes get it up and running again. if not an engineer has to come.

I've recently got cctv and ring doorbell camera connected to this wi-fi as my parents are elderly here, it requires access to the internet at all times. When it goes down, we lose our security system.

I advice people, do not go with SKY broadband, there are other better providers out there. Seems we're may well be cancelling this service now.

If you live in the Lincoln area avoid like the plague. Really poor speed and intermittent WiFi which Sky have no idea how to fix after many many phone calls and two engineer visits. In the end we’ve given up and decided to go elsewhere for our IP. If I could give zero stars I would.

Absolutely abysmal. Please save yourself from using this pathetic excuse for wifi and go with another provider. I've lost count on how many times this horrendous wifi cuts out a day.

The stability of this wifi is non-existent. I used to live out in the country and have an uncommon internet provider and that was better than this "super fast broadband". Nothing in that statement is correct. "Super" is incorrect because it barely even works, "Fast" is incorrect because it's slower than a dried out snail and "Broadband" is stretching it. This is a clown's version of wifi. I called them up and after waiting around 25 minutes for an answer, they sent a "booster" over that did absolutely nothing. Just another excuse for them to take even more money. They're just as bad as these call scammers. They take your hard earned money for literally no service. It would be a massive stretch to call this a service.

So in conclusion, stay as far away from sky as possible. If they offer you their broadband in any of their packages, turn them down. Whatever you do don't accept their offer. It's just an excuse for them to suck up your money like a hoover.

Just terrible. After peak time, it's actually like they deliberately give you the worst broadband, probably so you might consider going for an even faster package.

We have never got WiFi throughout our home and because of the inconsistent broadband, we actually tried to get hold of them. Ridiculously long wait times on phoning them (probably due to many people complaining) and when finally got through, they said they'd send someone to test it. They sent the wrong engineer. He arrived to fix the sky TV and we both hadn't got a clue why he was sent. So he said he'll let them know to send the right person. Never happened. So after a 20 minute wait on the phone to talk to someone about it, the automated system had sent me to the wrong service and all they could say is they could send me to the right one and I'll have to wait again. After the first wait I wasn't interested. We're now cancelling our sky broadband and going with someone else. Someone that we can actually talk to and doesn't have so many departments they can't control.

The joke of it all is that we've had sky TV for so long, we're meant to have platinum vip service. A few little offers but it means nothing when it comes to customer service.

Internet drops all the time, it can drop hundred of times a day and doesn’t come back up.
They sent many engineers and none is able to actually do their work. I worked for them a few years ago, and seeing advisors not knowing the bare minimum, even if you explain them who they need to talk to to be able to check hidden settings, they don’t care in the slightest!
I’m sick of their incompetency and I’ll move with BT. There’s no point paying for a service you don’t get!

I have spent the last three days with the Internet light on my router either static orange, flashing orange or out altogether. I have tried calling Sky for help and following their advice but nothing. They simply don't seem interested in doing anything about my problem of none or a minute of internet before its down again. I'm at my wits end as we are paying for a service we're not getting.

Have been with Sky for several years now, but moved away as they were no longer competative for me. Have just received a letter several months later saying I owe them money and if not settled in 10 days they will refer to a collection agency. NO money was owed. How many people would have just of paid the £59.00? A Sky scam or what?!

I don't have a word or number to rate sky business broadband and phone, very stressful and poor service all the way, never try them again and not recommended, better pay more with virgin and get good service. moved from Virgin for better deal but now I do regret. Sky customer service and installation process are very bad, call records are not in the system even though you spoke to their customer service agents properly.

Requested for moving house. I was informed in writing that it will go live on 17 May, sadly that didn't happen.
Contacted Sky on 18 May, After been transferred from one department to another (around 5 department) I was told that it will go live by end of the day (with confirmation with open reach) again it didn't go live. I contacted them 4 times in the day.
Contacted them again on 19th May, and they tell me that there is an issue between Sky and Open reach and I can take 72 Working Hours (basically 2 weeks). And they have assured me that there is it will go live before 22 May.

We have been sky customers for 10 years, when we changed house in February we got it a letter with information that the new tenant has ordered internet from another provider So our services will be canceled from April 1. After 3 months, it turned out that they only cancelled the internet, not the TV and we have to pay money for these 3 months.

Pretty sure I'd be able to set up my own Internet Service Provider for a couple hundred quid and it would be far more reliable and quicker than this joke of an ISP. I used to have Virgin Media before having the misfortune of moving to a flat where Virgin Media isn't availiable. Now I am stuck with dog-s%#te ''superfast'' (aka 20mbs) internet that cuts out weekly. Haven't dealt with the customer service as it appears to be utterly pointless judging by the myriad of reviews exclaiming the poor service.

    TLDR: Absolute s%#t

Have cancelled the Internet I never had and will never use sky again.

I've just put the 'phone down again after being kept on hold for 20 mins by a Sky agent.
I've made a dozen 'phone calls so far and sent off half a dozen emails.
Two weeks ago Sky issued a contract for Broadband installation.
Twe weeks later I'm still waiting for it to be installed.
'Phone calls to the customer service number provided get routed to the Uk who then try to get then routed back to the Irish team but you just end up on hold listening to dreadful muzak.
Some of the agents speak poor English and some of their emails are almost unintelligible gobbledegook.
If you wish to retain your sanity avoid dealing with SKY - quite possibly the worst telecommunications company we're ever had to deal with.
    And that includes Eir ...

My journey with Sky starts ~ 2 months ago when I tried to upgrade our broadband speed to superfast. We were paying £26 a month for there “basic package” which is about as fast as a turtle on its back. I called to negotiate a deal, since we were a “Gold VIP” customer I was hoping I could get a good contract offer. I was told that upgrade would be almost twice as expensive as what I was paying now and there was no room for a discount…so I cancelled.

A few days later I received a letter in the mail offering me discount if I decided to stay with Sky. I thought this would be easier than changing providers… oh how wrong I was.

I called up and was offered a price of £24.50 for the superfast broadband which I was very happy with. I agreed to rejoin under that price. I had already started the process with another provider so I was asked to cancel that before the upgrade could proceed. I cancelled and called Sky back 2 days later.

At this point I was told they couldn’t honor the £24.50 deal as “it had to be the sales representative that offered me the deal to activate it.”

At this point I was starting to get a bit annoyed. I was bounced around various teams and after ~ 6 hours of hold time and days of attempts I finally got the activation agreed, HURRAY!

Not quiet, something “went wrong” and the whole activation was cancelled…. so I called up again and spoke to Jerry (Jerry was great & should get promoted). He looked into the issues, got everything sorted over the course of 2 days and called me back to keep me updated on his progress…

….this would have been a good resolution (although a bit painful to get to) HOWEVER, the mess now continues:

My activation date has come and gone with no hub in sight, my billing is incorrect and is being charged £35.50/month and to top of everything else, I’ve been charged £50 in made up offer admin fees.

It’s safe to say they’ve thoroughly p*ssed me off, have lost a 5 year customer and prompted me to write a very detailed review of my troubles across every review site that I could find.

Ive been with Sky for nearly 10 years and was thinking of moving to another provider purely to try and save some money. There are so many bad reviews for ALL the providers i've decided to stay with them as they've never let me down, and the last twice i've called them i've not had to wait longer than a couple of minutes to speak with someone. Always helpful, always pleasant. Maybe a little more expense than some of the comparisons. People are happy to leave bad reviews, thought I'd leave a positive one!

Sky are just getting worse. I get quite a bit of packet loss I rang Sky who were most unhelpful apparently you have to have 10% or more packet loss before they will try to fix it. I have about 6% packet loss which is severely messing up online gaming and I get frequent network errors and then disconnected from the sever. I get a lot of latency spikes too. Sky are quick enough to take your money but when it comes to fixing problems they don't want to know. I can't wait for my broadband contract to end.
