Extremely bad and grossly overpriced. Connection often unavailable and subject to frequent disconnects. Logging on fails half the time as system often does not recognise you. Very slow speed.Essentially there is no customer service just the usual roundabout of form replies. No customer service number for personal help. Don't water your money.

I would give this product no stars if that was possible. A total waste of 39 pounds (I took the 30 day pack). Never again. Do yourself a favour and don’t subscribe to this.

Just awful! Bought the 30 day package for £39 and haven’t had a day yet we’re I haven’t been cut off or unable to connect. It even managed to cut me off half way through this review as if it knew what I was writing. Don’t waste your money on this truly awful product.

This so-called service throws even awful Lebara 3G off the throne of flies. What a stinker. Most of the time you won't find reliable connection. I've literally scanned the streets of central London on emergency. You will get very familiar with messages like "Out of reach", "Obtaining IP address", IP address errors etc. And as someone stated, it disconnects randomly between 3 to max 15 minutes even if miraculously getting 4 bar service. Avoid at all cost (day ask big money for this junk) unless you get a free voucher or something.

Absolutely useless. Bought a five day deal and it didn't work from day one. No coverage, logged me out constantly and was so slow I may have well used two tin cans and a piece of string. The worst buy ever.

First and last time. What a rip off. Slow, regularly losing connection causing me to lose work, streaming anything was impossible, and £18 for the privilege. My free WiFi on the MegaBus coming down here beats this service hands down.

Extremely unreliable. Connection will randomly drop, sometimes the sign in page won't show, sometimes you won't be able to even connect to the router. The speed is usually fine. Prone to randomly disconnecting or requiring you to sign in again literally minutes after first signing in

Once you sign up and pay, you’ll never be able to use the internet as you just won’t get any signal. Seriously - avoid at all costs.

Okay so, before moving to Birmingham, BT was alright. Could watch videos, movies and even play games. We had the fast package and it was working fine. After we moved to Birmingham the internet went to hell, first of all, they don't have fast broadband where we live and had made no effort to get it here or at least give us a much cheaper alternative. Second of all, if my husband and I use our laptops to watch videos on youtube, the internet will just go to hell. We can't load videos even in 144p, if a third person is connected then that's it, you an say bye bye to internet.... It's also really stupid that they keep sending mails and put billboards up with how amazing the speed is and all that b.s, when it's actually absolutely false advertisement

Literally the worst. Never works, nothing except my laptop can connect, and that's a bit difficult. What I'm trying to say is - it's a massive waste of money - you could get broadband for half the price and a hundred times the speed from the flipping post office. Just... Don't.....

Apalling. Total waste of lots of money for a disgrace of a signal and speed. Everything good for the first day and then once you pay for longer term it goes to hell. Customer service is just as bad if not worse. Save yourself money and energy and stay away. Anything else will be better.

Well where do I begin! This broadband can only be described by the word tragic. It is as if the router has cling film around it as there is no signal 99% of the time. This is the worst wifi I have ever come across. The customer service team act like morons and treat you as if you have no clue and are stupid! A shambolic service for a premium price!

I can not recommend BT highly enough. I have been a customer of virgin broadband for many years. I would have weekly problems, hours with no internet and “glitchy” internet. I was nervous to move supplies but a neighbor recommended and I can’t believe I waited so long to move! I get WiFi in every room with no glitches at all! I can’t telk you what the technical support is like (Virgin’s was terrible!) because I haven’t had to use it in 10 months!! I urge everyone to move!

I am in temp housing for twelve weeks while work is done on my flat so I decided to get a pay as you go broadband, this was pretty cheap at £120 for 90 days with no contract. For some reason the 90 day option never worked at the start when I joined so this added £30 I did not need to spend.
The speeds are decent for me at 5mb both up and down, but the uptime is around 90% with too many random small outages and too many hour plus disconnects.
As far as I can tell I get wifi from the local startbucks which is probably something you need if you want any decent monthly amount of download and I do get close to 1tb a month with constant downloading.
It is a decent temporary service for me, let down by the terrible cust serv and low reliability.
I would have given it two stars for reliability but it requires you to log on daily at 3am to 5am or it stops, so I usually have another two to four hours downtime every day.

I am utterly appalled and disappointed with the service and quality of this product. My wifi constantly goes down, and provides awful speeds when working. The range is also shocking, with it barely even reaching one room. This is particularly disappointing, considering their alleged 'whole home wifi' promise.
Despite this, what really makes this company stand out for their abysmal quality is the customer service. One man I spoke to was outrageously politically incorrect, and perhaps indeed racist. His hardline right wing views weren't asked for, but he forced them on me regardless.
It is safe to say I will not be using this device again.

It's a scam, through and through. DO NOT PAY FOR BT-FON OR YOU ARE BEING RIPPED OFF. Pay for bt WiFi? You can use WiFi and fon, but connect to fon and pay? You're only allowed to use fon. It's the same prices, same login, they just like to mislead consumers.
The most egregious part is that your net may be fine, but if you get a 30 day voucher, they will flip the throttle to the max, to the point where I can't even access this website.
You can test this yourself. Pay for 1 hour, do a speed test, log out, login your 30 day account, and magically, your speeds will plummet to the ground. Swap back to your 1 hour account and magically the internet is fast again.
They scam you into paying for more time, trying to save money, and once you're hooked, they cut off the service and tell you where to shove it

Without a doubt the worst WiFi I have ever had the displeasure of using. BT is absolutely useless and I highly recommend you look else where unless you want to be extorted for all your money and get absolutely nothing in return. The router constantly crashes, there’s always problems with it. For no reason it just turns itself off and starts flashing red. I have racked up a serious bill using mobile data because BT is so terrible. STAY AWAY

i pay for the 12 month contract called up btwifi to find out date of payment and thanks to the great customer service I was able to change the date and move 2 months payments into a month after, only complain is the speed, 1mb/s for download and 6m/s for upload why is upload higher and if I could get a better speed that would be amazing as some files take ages to download if they are 1gb or more.

I just moved into this house. After having to wait for 14 days to have a
BT landline installed (as Virgin Media won't bother to connect it) I have ordered a BT broadband. Had to call 4 times and spend in total more than 2 hours on the phone just to order the Broadband. After which i got nottified I would have to wait another 5 weeks until the broadband will be activated. I was told that as soon as I order the Broadband I could use the BT-WIFI and BT-wifi with FON in the area. I just needed to login with my BT account. One week after the landline activation I still do not have a BT account number so I cannot activate my BT account which means I cannot use the wifi. called BT a couple more times. Then, as I have work to complete, I paid 7.99 pounds for a day with BT wifi with FON connection. Hoping my BT letter with the account number will arrive. It didnt happen and I still needed to work. So i paid 17.99 pounds for 5 days connection with bt-wifi with FON. Except this time the wi-fi was so bad, worked at 120 ish kb per second, kept disconnecting, most of the times on reconnect will just show NO INTERNET. So called BT again to complain, and the guy tells me that since I ordered a broadband, He can give me a one month voucher to access the BT-WIFI hotspot. Went to Argos and bought a WI-FI amplifier. With amplified signal, BT-WIFI works at its best at 120kb per second (which is like internet in Romania 20 years ago), with a ping of 1500 - 3700 ms and repeated timed out requests. I cannot even connect a second device to the WIFI. To think of it, in 2019, i had to pay about 50 pounds just to get the crappiest internet connection ever. BT, did you know that it is possible to have fiber optic connection brought into your house with 200Mb/s speed/ TV and landline, all for 8 pounds a month? in Romania, not UK. But still possible.

The worst broadband provider I have ever been with
WiFi drops out completely all the time and bt always insist I need an engineer who comes over and says nothing is wrong..
Wifi speeds are always dropping to under 3 when promised fiber speeds.
Have made complaints over and over and have been promised compensation but never heard back. Will be leaving for sky asap.

Every time I visit the UK I try to sign up with the dreadful BT Fon. It feels like a complete con. The only time it works is when they take your money. From that point on it’s a complete disaster. Whether you sign up for 5 days or 30 days, it just doesn’t work. And why isn’t there 24/7 support? DO NOT USE BT FON. IT IS AWFUL.

DONT BOTHER AND HERE'S WHY......
It seems to connect when it wants your card details and/or when you activate another 24 hours worth (if you've subscribed to a 5 or 30 day contract). As soon as you've done any of the above, its very unreliable, slow as you can get and it's simply RUBBISH....WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
