No broadband and thus no VOIP for three weeks. This is the third such down time in less than 12 months. In between the service is highly erratic and speeds tolerable (10 mbs) to slow (less than 1 mbs). Repeated calls to Bluewave are handled by a very sympathetic receptionist but then no action or explanation in a meaningful timeframe. Bluewave appears to be under resourced and one has doubts about the quality and integrity of the equipment they install and the technical competence of staff. They do not appear to hold a contingency reserve of key equipment to draw on in the event of a failure somewhere across their network.
You are strongly advised not to sign a contract with this company unless you are a complete masochist.

Great speeds and reliable connectivity, with any occasional glitches sorted (usually instantly) by a team readily accessible and whom you can get to know by name - not some faceless couldn't-care-less hundreds or even thousands of miles away. We run a small business in a very rural area and rely on our broadband connection for all our phone lines (via VoIP) as well as for the usual business needs; so we need a fast, reliable service, which Bluewave give us. Our previous BT service was a frustrating joke, and I bless the day we moved to Bluewave. And no, I’m not getting paid to write this: I’m just a highly satisfied customer.

Been with Bluewave just over 8 months and so looking forward to January when my contract ends. The Welsh government provided a grant for ultrafast broadband installation which I am told is anything over 30mbps - if only! There is nothing ultrafast about this service. It generally operates between 1 and 10mbps but more often than not very much at the lower end. Have complained many times, provided months of data and still no improvement.
Two visits from engineers and remarkably and coincidentally the speed suddenly increased both times. Normal service resumed the following day on each occasion. Call me cynical!!
Don't touch this company with a barge pole unless you enjoy pain and disruption

I would give no stars if I could. The internet was very poor and often non existent. Often there was no one in the office to answer calls. Left endless messages. originally with TFL who were good - taken over by Bluewave and everything went down hill.

Diabolical, trying to run a business, Internet constantly not working, Have tried to contact by telephone, no one ever returns your calls,we have emailed and sent speed tests Download 1.13 upload 5.17, cant use a play station, cant stream anything, have to use own phone date for banking!last speed tests failed due to no internet connection. considering they charge £1000 from the welsh government for this installation, we pay £29.99 for very little internet what so ever.
so angry, as still waiting for the engineers which were due on 3 days ago

Would give 0 stars if possible. Absolutely dire service and are unavailable to help when needed. Connection continually drops out which is making 'working from home' pretty much impossible with the current situation. Have phoned blue wave multiple times and on the few occasions they have had someone available to answer the phone we have been told apparently they are getting new equipment but haven't gotten round to installing it yet? Reassuring when we are still paying 29.99 a month.
Also cannot access internet banking or several streaming services. Absolute farce of a company!

I moved into my property in 2016 and transferred my internet provider which was Talktalk CEO Dido Harding now NHS Track and Trace! Speed was less than 2mbps. Wanted a local provider was promised not less than 20mbps, asked all the right questions regarding weather, atmospherics etc., was told that it was satellite so didn't effect the signal, so stupidly I switched in 2017 when contract was up Have many recorded speeds in three years which reach anywhere near those speeds most of them match or worse than landline speeds. Don't know why Ofcom don't shut them down and Welsh Government stop wasting their, sorry our money, as for Eloise supposedly customer services she almost never answers an email. I think Carmarthenshire Trading Standards should be looking at them not leave it to the BBC.

Pretty dire service. It's fine if you are a potatoe farmer reading emails along way from BT fibre but for day to day modern use for multimedia it's dire.
Only got connected since the postcode lookup was not up-to-date on the roll out of fibre in rural Wales. If you were living in the community the locals would have known as part of the buzz, moving in sorting it out you didn't. Estate agent said patchy, was suppose to be 4 Mbps, turned out it was 37 with BT fibre. Two years of Bluewave ran from 4 Mbps to 30. No good at night for streaming would drop away. Constant 2 second breaks. Internet radio it was no good for as the data packages had jitter so it would drop between stations.
True on the bank login thing. Bluewave and the banks couldn't agree the security certificate so you got bounced off. Effected two banks and play stations. You could use a VPN to bypass this problem although Bluewave never told their customers this, I did tell them, they said use your mobile phone instead. Also advised people not to hog their phones complaining about this.
On the positive side moving in they did get the equipment already bolted on the wall functioning and connected to the router I moved in with. Came from Virgin cable 200 Mbps to rural wireless broadband.
They do it right in Ireland with a 1Gbps service, clearly Bluewave is under invested in. Runs on a shoestring. Look elsewhere if you can. The alternative 4G based providers have been putting up dish aerials pointing at trees giving 4 Mbps on my conversations with not spots which have Bluewave and West Wales Solutions or whatever they are called in the hamlet. Pity Openreach didnt finish the job off.
Best bet if moving to an area phone up BT with the postcode rather than using lookups. Their information is pretty accurate. Get extention phone wiring disconnected and a new modern master socket put in by Openreach. Your best chance at getting those speeds.

Totally dreadful! We were originally with TFL who were really good, but they sold to Bluewave and everything went wrong. The speed promised never happened. They promote themselves on their web site as providing 50mb plus, we rarely ever get 15. Customer service in the day can be ok, if slow at times. Same if you lose total connection. If anything goes wrong out of office hours you are totally stuck and this happens most often on a weekend. You can phone and leave a message for their out of hours team, but nothing happens. I'm now on my third day with only a speed of 1.7mb. I would never ever recommend Bluewave Internet.

Our experience with Bluewave occurred at the end of 2019. The current BBC TV publicity about the company has prompted me to share our experience. Our holiday let is advertised as having wifi and so guests have a high expectation of the service - (something upon which we are all now dependant). Bluewave took over from our previous provider.
After a complaint from a guest in September 2019 that it had failed. I contacted Bluewave on four occasions by email, (26/8/19 -2/10/19) and waited on hold for an hour on the phone in office hours - no reply.
I subsequently received two bills for monthly payments which were double the previous monthly cost. These would have gone through had I not cancelled my direct debit to them.
I also had to reimburse two sets of guests for the inconvenience.
As a result I informed them that I was withholding payment until my broadband service was reinstated.
I then wrote to them on 2/10/19 asking;
Why they had not contacted me
Why my internet service and not been reinstated
Why they had attempted to double charge me for two months bills
I received no reply and was fortunate as I was able to secure an alternative provider, but feel sorry for those customers for whom Bluewave is the only option

We were a customer for a year and it was a relief when we received FTTP. What an awful company and for what was supposedly a communications company it was the worst communication I've ever experienced. The speeds were atrocious, the customer service was non existant. I feel very sorry for people who have little or option.
Poor, poor, poor
